Tainted Love – Bellissima

OK, first off – I have been away a bit; I haven’t blogged or read others’ blogs, so this may have been covered to death, who knows?  But, have you started the Tainted Love Hunt?  I’ve only hit a few of the stores  - maybe the first 10 – and I’ve already found some interesting, disturbing, and totally awesome items.  This is Bellissima’s (Stop No. 6) prize.  Almost all items shown are included – the dress (with both a ballgown and lolita skirt), the gloves, the hat, and the choker, but also the eyes (6 different creepy pairs!), the hair, and the tattooed skin.  And for a bonus you get the bloody beating heart in a jar!  Lookee….

The “liquid” in the syringes swirls, too.  And that heart in the next photo – blood spatters drip down the glass and the heart beats.  oooooooo

Oddly disturbing, no?  hee hee.  This outfit just screams:  You broke my heart, so I’ve taken yours (and put it in a jar). ;)

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, lovin’ (^ ^), etc. *mwah* (hahah)!

Lovely Felicia by Amacci

You know, I didn’t even know that Amacci made skins.  Lovely hair, yes, of course.  But skins?  And beautiful skins, too.  I was so thrilled to receive these skins from Carina Larsen and feel so bad that I couldn’t blog them earlier.  But they are still worth a good gander.  I have to say that I love these skins – especially the milky tone that I’m showing you today.  I haven’t taken them off, except to wear my gothier skins with my goth clothes.  And I can’t stop staring at my avatar wearing them.  It’s like Felicia was made especially for Des.  Ok… I’ll shut up and get on with the pics coz I have a lot of them to show you.  You can click to see any of these even larger if you’d like. :)

First of all, here’s the shape that Carina made for the skin – Frida.  Not too far off from my own shape, no?  That’s probably why these skins fit me “like a glove.” (or like a *skin*? lol)   This is the “natural” makeup.  There are 16 different makeups and 8 different tones – ranging from milky to exotic dark.  Let me show you some more of the makeups.

Candy and Scarlet

Happy and Blush

Peach and Green

Pink and Plum

Red and Nude

Soft and Ruby

The skins cost L$900 for one makeup; for each makeup, there are 4 skins – one normal, one with cleavage, one with a black hairbase, and one with a black hairbase and cleavage.  A set in one tone with all 8 makeups costs L$3000.  Short on lindens?  Join the inworld group and receive a tatooed version in three tones for free (previously blogged).

The body is just as beautiful as the faces, too.  Here are the obligatory naked (or almost naked) pics for your viewing pleasure.  I’m wearing the black hairbase and cleavage option.  I’ll put a cut and pray that it works so that you can safely view them once you get home from work. ;)

I Want Your Love… Love, Love, Love

Yes, it’s that time of the year again.  Time to bring out your pink and red, your hearts and kisses poofers, and celebrate the holiday for lovers – Valentine’s Day.  If you’re not an anti-Valentine’s afficionado, Adam n Eve has a special that’s right up your alley – two specials actually.

The skin, previously blogged, is a L$100 special at Adam n Eve (one week), and the dress is Sachi Vixen’s entry into Hump Day Happiness – the $L69 Wednesday sale.  The dress has a lovely satiny sheen to it, and I particularly like the way that little cut off heart in the fabric over the left breast gives just the slightest impression that you *may* be showing a nip.  (^ ^)  I’m sure that was completely serendipitous.  The sale ends tonight at midnight, so hurry on over to Adam n Eve and snag this little pink dress before it’s too late.

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, lovin’ (^ ^), etc. *mwah*!

Details: (skimpy coz SL was being mean to me)

Just Because I Love It

SL was being a complete butt-pain last night, so I didn’t get to photograph what I had intended to blog today.  I logged in and 30 minutes later, my inventory was still at only 1500 items of the 82,000.  Sigh.  Then I crashed.  Typical.  I hardly left my home; I just kept trying and trying to make SL work.  Sigh again.

So, today I’m bringing you an “oldie” but definitely a goodie.  Hyasynth Tiramisu of ~silentsparrow~ released this dress in September, 2009.  How I missed it, I have no idea.   But a few weeks ago, when Hya released the Kurai Suite, I noticed the Ritual Suite in this lovely dark pink.

Hya is getting so good at drawing textures and designing elegant, ornate, Victorian/fantasy clothing that’s it damned near scary.  And this dress comes with a few bonuses, or as we say “lagniappe.”  You also get a belt (sort of a leather or satin cord) with a large, ornate, silver batwing thingy, worn around the waist; a rosary with a gothic cross  for your hand, and an ornate goblet with a holding pose (not shown).  And if that’s not enough, there’s a bonus lolita skirt included as well.  This outfit is actually a collaboration between Hya and October Rust, who made the goblet and rosary.  Calico Ingmann Creations created a special hairstyle named Brenna for it as well.  Here’s a closeup of the front and back, along with the rosary.

I love the delicate, metal vine filigree along the back – a true fantasy touch (how exactly *would* this corset stay on?? – shhhhhh… don’t spoil the fantasy!)  Look at that sculpted overskirt, too.

The skin I love, too.  Its’ the ATOMIC VIP Group Gift – a preview of the upcoming Fae in cream in VIP Pink makeup (previously blogged).  I want more of these skins!   I’m being really patient, but hurry, please!

Ok, I’m going to try once again to live my second life in a nice, calm, lag-free manner.  Wish me luck.  :/

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, lovin’ (^ ^), etc. *mwah*!

Valentine’s Special Skin at Adam n Eve

Have you seen the sexy new Valentine’s skin at Adam n Eve?  It’s a special makeup for the Portia line with red, heart-shaped lipstick and dark, sultry eyes.  Check her out -

Oh, the lingerie, you ask?  It’s a special Valentine’s coloring of my fave Anastasia lingerie from Lingerie Boutique.  All that sexy hotness for only L$200, too.  The Portia skin is available all this week at Adam n Eve for only L$100, and comes in 4 tones (I’m showing you the lightest, of course), and with and without hairbase (*love* the hairbase skins).  No one, and I mean *no one* does a tush like Sachi Vixen.  Am I right?

Oh, before I leave you, I just had to show you an instance of SL asshattery, tomfuckery, whatever you want to call it.  I was trying on a new skin, which I’ll be showing you soon, and SL went beserk.  Look what happened.  I gasped, and then I LOL’d.  (I put a cut here – I hope it works.)

Lysandra by the Laughing Academy

The Laughing Academy has a lovely new gown – Lysandra.  Take a look.

The details are lovely – the little ruffly ribbons at the sleeves, bosom, hips, and back (derriere); little dark brown rosettes, a sculpty bustle skirt, and a prim underskirt with so many subtle colors that it was a challenge to GIMP.  I should have just scrapped the whole composite idea and gone back inworld to shoot it on location.  Trust me, the above pictures do *not* do it justice.

And, befitting a dress of this quality, you get *options* – you can wear just the lovely bone colored corset – with or without the chest ruffle (which also comes with multiple attachment points), and with or without the off shoulder sleeves.  You can wear the sleeveless jacket – with or without the off shoulder sleeves.  Or you can wear the long-sleeved jacket with the sleeve prims made especially for this option.  The corset, sleeveless jacket and long-sleeved jacket are wearable on all layers, too.

Lysandra does not come with shoes, but I found these Dirty and Old Victorian Court Shoes (hey, I’m not judging – that’s the *actual* name lol) for only L$50 at the Laughing Academy.  I’ve put one of the shoes against a backdrop of the textures of the skirt so you can get a better, unadulterated view of all the textures involved in this multilayered, multitextured design.

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, lovin’ (^ ^), etc. *mwah*!

Sale at Nightshade

Yesterday, I logged on to find one of those notices that come through local chat with only a landmark instead of a notecard – this time from Nightshade.  I *think* it said that Nightshade’s satellite store in Eliquiry is closing and there’s a closing sale.  The reason I’m not sure of the details is because my computer crashed before I could jot down the information.  *But* I promise you that there is, in fact, a sale going on at the Eliquiry location – the hair is L$50 per color pack, the older skins (shown here) are reduced to L$150, and many dresses are more than 50% off.  I know because I’ve had my eye on these outfits for months now and couldn’t afford them before. :) )  Oh, and Nightshade has quite a few gothic outfits for men as well – also on sale.

So, first up is Nightshade’s Blacklist Animam Efflare dress in black.  This outfit comes with the beautiful silver gothic cross necklace, the tophat, and clothing on more layers than you can shake a stick at.  I love the distressed red fishnets that bring out the subtle red in the skirt.  The little prim skulls on the hat, sleeve cuffs, and collar are a nice touch, too.

I also had my eye on the Rapunzel outfit for awhile, too.  It was originally over L$700 – way out of my price range.  It is now L$300 – still not “cheap,” but quite affordable for the quality and originality of the design.  Check out Rapunzel.

All items worn with Rapunzel are from Nightshade as well – the gothic dolly shoes, the skin, and the hair, which comes with a silver hair adornment with color change bows.  (BTW, I know my hair is going through my bewbs; let’s just pretend we didn’t notice that, ‘k?)

I’m not even showing you the most beautiful part of this dress.  Do you see that little black bow on my hip?  It is primtastic!  It’s a bow with tiny pearls, lace, and chains.  I know because I had to reposition it, and I had a helluva time grabbing all the tiny prim parts. But it is really amazing.

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, lovin’ (^ ^), etc. *mwah*!

LOTD – Feeling Reddish

This is kinda sorta, but not really, a response to Luna Jubilee’s  Closet Cleanout Blogger Challenge posted here.  When I was looking in my recent items and trying on new things, I first threw on the ~silentsparrow~ Chapiteau skirt.  Looking for more red things to complement it, I found the Aoharu Haiti Relief coat.  So far, not really “cleaning out my inventory” at all, right?  Ok… I need a skin with pretty red lips – the LeLutka Haiti relief skin, yes!   Ok.. nice, but my bewbs are hanging out.  Hey, didn’t I get some cropped tops at Sn@tch recently?  Sure did – and yay! there’s a red one!  Boots are definitely needed now.  Yes!  The red 2 Way Belt Laceups I picked up at the Anexx sale!  OMG .  I’m so happy! But, I need jewelry, too.  I search my 80,000+ item inventory (that’s right, I said *80,000+* items!)   for “carnelian” and omg – look what I found hidden in my “outfits” folder – a necklace that got deleted along with my entire jewelry folder during the Great Inventory Debacle of 2008.  What a “way back” for me – newbie me finds a great jewelry store – Shiny Things – and actually spends several hundred lindens on jewelry.  Awwwww.  I’m so glad I found this necklace – it really brought back memories.  So… that’s why this post is kinda sorta a response to the challenge.  LOL

The hair is a fairly new release from the fairly new store – Rezlpsa Loc – just please don’t ask me how to pronounce that store’s name.   It comes with a color change headband, which I’ve tinted black.  There’s another color of the hair in the lucky chair, too for all you lucky chair lovers/stalkers. Hope you like. :) )

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, lovin’ (^ ^), etc. *mwah*!

Cake and Kisses – I’ll take both, please. :)

Oh, yes, Cake and Kisses is a much better proposition than “Cake or Death” wouldn’t you say?  This is a semi-new little dolly available at The Dollhouse at LVS.  I love LVS and I really miss those hunts at LVS Drive.  They don’t seem to happen as often as they used to.  I’m sure Ravenlynn Templar has been busier than usual in RL.  But she’s still creating, that’s for sure.  I picked up this little cutie for half price (L$50) over the weekend.  Sadly, it’s back to full price again, but it’s well worth L$100, wouldn’t you say?

The hair is a crazy “do” I picked up at Waka & Yuki.  I’m pretty sure it was only a linden.  There were around 10 boxes of free or almost free hair on a cart outside the Peppermint Blue  freebie shop.  The boots are from Anexx – oh my goodness, that sale was to die for, wasn’t it??  The yummy candy necklace with the ring pop in my mouf is a new dollarbie at [chuculet] which was released over the weekend.  It also comes in several other flavors.

By the way, I’m trying something a bit different with the blog.  I never have time to find something cool to throw on, *and* take the photos, *and* GIMP the photos, *and* write the blog post on weekdays.  (Hey, I work for a living!)  So, I’ve decided that Saturdays will be my photo studio day.  I’ve taken enough shots to last the week.  Unfortunately, that means that some of my items won’t be brand spanking new, but then again, they usually aren’t.  :)

Anyway….  Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, lovin’ (^ ^), etc. *mwah*!

I Feel …. Vintage

Stacie’s Strength is an outfit I picked up last week at Phoenix Rising, a store I’d heard of before, but never visited (as far as I know).  I had to go.  I had fallen in love from the notice.

Stacie’s Strength comes with many pieces not shown above, too.  I’m wearing the black jacket with prim collar and the longer sleeves, along with the white skirt and the tintable bow.  It also comes with another type of sleeve (short and puffy), pants with sculpty legs, a white undershirt, a black shirt, and a high waist for the capris on the shirt and underwear layers.  It’s a very versatile outfit.  You can also purchase more colors of just the jacket to increase the versatility.  The blue is particularly gorgeous.  I may just have to make a return visit.

I’m also wearing a necklace that many bloggers fell in love with – SiSSi’s Cutie Checker necklace.  And thanks to the 50% off sale at Anexx, I was able to afford the awesome Laceup Boots in this delicious red tone.  I must also gush over the hair from Tiny Bird – also picked up on sale – 50% off (which means L$85 for 3 colors).  That’s a bobby pin in my mouth.  :))  Finally, the skin – it’s the Haiti relief  skin from LeLutka – omg! those lips!

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, lovin’ (^ ^), etc. *mwah*!
