Hey there, everyone.  Katastr0ph1c Hurricane back again, filling in for Desiree because her desktop has gone kaput.   Tonight Desiree wanted me show you a cute group gift from a new-to-me store called Beautiful Dirty Rich.

I found out about the store through a really cool group called the Violet Mafia.  The group scours the grid for group gifts and freebies to share with one another.  Isn’t this outfit the cutest?  it comes with the kitteh ears and tail, as well as the matching boots/legwarmers.  The dress has nicely sculpted sleeves and a sculpted wide collar.  The dress is available in many other colors for purchase, as well.

I’m also wearing my Pink Fuel Elly skin that I picked up on sale a few months ago, and some sexy hair by Exile.  All in all, a cute look I hope you like as much as I do. :)

Well, I’m not feeling very talkative tonight, so until next time….

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

I thought I was on a roll with my blogging.  I had done a nice post on a lovely, work of art dress, and then stayed up late on the weekend, taking pics for posts later in the week.  Later the next day, when I turned on my desktop….nada.  Dead.  Oh great.  I guess I killed it – or SL killed it rather.  So, now I’m in the market for a new desktop, even if I do get the old one fixed, coz apparently I need a better desktop.  I’ve spent the last few days researching and am just about ready to order a totally bitchin’ beast of a rig.  I just have to work up the courage (coz it ain’t cheap lol).

So, I wanted to let everyone know that I’m stuck on my old craptop, which does *not* run SL well at all.  Poor Desiree can barely log in – blame her 150k inventory.  So, little Kat generously offered to take over the blog until the “bitchin’  beast” comes in (which will be about a month after I order it).  You’ll have to forgive the crappy quality of the pics; just know that gorgeous pics, with quality unlike any you’ve ever seen on this blog (read – shadows!!!), are on the horizon!

So, here’s little Kat wearing katat0nik.  Isn’t she cute as a button in the Christmas group gift skin from Curio?   She refuses to take off the Epic faun boots and seems to think that they’re permanently attached.  Maybe they are.  The cute hair is the recent group gift from (R e d)M i n t.   Don’t worry, it comes with a version without the Christmas lights, and the antlers are color-change.  Love this pink color!  As I mentioned, the precious outfit is from katat0nik – yep katastr0ph1c does katat0nik!  I confess I thought of Ms. Pidgeon when I was naming my new avatar.  ”Catastrophic” was taken, so I had to use an alternate spelling.  The top and the skirt of this outfit are sold separately, so you could mix and match the colors if you wanted.  I fell in love with the pink, of course. How could I not fall in love with those cute little buttons and lace, and the little snowmen peaking out of the skirt’s pockets?  Love, love, love!

Ok, well, hope you liked, even if the stuff I’m wearing is not brand new and the pics are not high res.  Until next time…

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

Ah, P.S. – designer friends – please add Katastr0ph1c Hurricane to your lists if you want anything blogged.  kthx!

One of the best things about being a blogger is that every so often you catch the eye of a designer and receive an unexpected IM asking you to take a look at his latest creation.  Such an event happened to me a few weeks ago.  (Yeah, I’m not the timeliest of bloggers.)  The back story is that I visited a beautiful sim called Empyreal Dreams awhile back to shoot some photos of Ghanima Uriza’s (+++Blue Blood+++) Frilly Death in Whitegoth White.  (You can see them here if you’re curious. :) )  Well, the photos caught the eye of one of the creators of the sim, Remington Aries, and he was the issuer of the aforementioned IM.  Empyreal Dreams has ventured out into clothing, and he graced me with this amazing gown.

First, a little more backstory.  Empyreal Dreams, is a Destination Guide art sim which visualizes four famous poems using Second Life as a canvas.  One of the poems is Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven.”  This dress, the first of three,  is a continuation on the theme of the poem and the sim, and is quite simply, wearable art.  The dress lifts text from Poe’s well known poem and interweaves its meaning, words, and accompanying graphics from the art build, into a full-length evening gown.

One of the themes of the poem is the passage of time (in the sense that the speaker hopes for time to diminish his grief over the passing of his dear Lenore; or for time to one day reunite him in death with her).  Accordingly, Mr. Aries and his partner Ariel Wingtips, have woven delicate, ghostly Victorian time pieces into the fabric of the front of the gown, and embedded a fully functional steam punk skeleton clock (shown above) into the right side of the gown.  Multiple ‘ghost’ layers in the skirts reveal not only the time pieces, but also white silk, clouds, pendulums, autumn flora, and constellations.  Through a careful use of transparency and lighting on textures, the dress reveals different details depending on the time of day.  You can imagine how difficult this dress is to photograph, but wearing it is an experience not to be missed!

The gown also has a soft, scripted particle emitter that rezzes falling leaves around you.  (A non-emitter skirt is included as well.)  Miniature irises, a recurrent theme from the sim, adorn the headpiece, shoes, and glove embellishments.  Why irises?  Traditionally, irises are associated with death as Iris was a Greek goddess of the rainbow, which she used to travel down to earth with messages from the gods and to transport women’s souls to the underworld. But my favorite part of the gown is the train.  The entire second stanza of the Raven is woven into the gown as a lace train.

Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December,
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow; – vainly I had sought to borrow

From my books surcease of sorrow – sorrow for the lost Lenore -
For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels named Lenore -
Nameless here for evermore.

As mentioned above, the gown comes with all the extras you need – the fascinator, gloves, and two pairs of shoes – silver and black, and cream and gold.  The sculpted dress bodice comes in several sizes, and the designers have included notecards and pictures to help you achieve the best fit.

The jewelry worn here is from Fairy Tale – which is closing (*so sad*) very soon.  All jewelry is deeply discounted, so run!  I’m also wearing LAQ’s subscribo gift Christmas skin and the LadyBoy hairstyle from Vanity Hair.  Long hair would have obscured the gown, so I chose this shiny, close-cropped style.  By the way, no post-processing was done on these pics, just simple cropping, and adding pretty frames via Picnik.  I also took some on-location shots at Arctica Dreams and Christmas Island.  (Why didn’t I take the location shots at Empyreal Dreams?  Well, I figured that would be a bit too “on the nose.”  However, I highly recommend a visit to the sim; here’s a limo for you!)  To see the pics, simply follow the link to my flickr page on the left.  Until next time….

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

Etheria 2, Painted Ladies, When Jewelers Dream is going on until January 8 on the Amira sim.  Usually, the clothing is the main event, with jewelry considered an accessory.  With Etheria, the jewelry is the main event – each jewelry designer, invited to participate by the event organizer, in turn chose a clothing designer to create an outfit to complement the jewelry.  The theme this time around is Painted Ladies – focusing on those special ladies that kept the Miner 49ers company on those chilly nights after a long day of panning for gold during the California Gold Rush of 1849.  Tonight I’m going to showcase the collaboration between two of my favorite designers – Lola Hienrichs of Lolapop! and Allegory Malaprop of Schadenfreude.  Since the jewelry is the focus, I’ll show you the closeup first. :)

Lola designed a cameo and pearls set called Cosette.  (Cosette is a character in Victor Hugo’s Les Miserables, btw).  The choker and earrings come in either black pearls (shown here) or white.  The cameo design is that of open red and yellow roses, along with greenery and a rosebud, surrounded by a silver frame embellished with silver leaves and roses.   To complement the Cosette set, Allegory chose to focus on a dress that evoked that special class of lady of ill-repute – the madame of the house.  Often, these ladies were so well-off that they were able to import the latest fashions from the streets of Paris and London.  Allegory tells us that the dresses are named for Pearl deVere, one of those “classy” ladies who commanded a hefty price for her services and for those of her girls as well.

DeVere comes in six colors, including the scarlet shown above, and the black I’ll show you next.  The outfit comes with lots of pieces, including a rigged mesh skirt with attached bustle in two sizes (try a demo to make sure it fits you), as well as the mesh bustle alone in two sizes.  It also comes with lace stockings, a black undershirt and bloomers, bloomer and undershirt ruffles, ruffled sleeves, and a jacket.  The ruffled pieces are all sculpted bits that are easily resizeable.  As you can see, there are various wear options with this beautiful outfit.  The fleur-de-lis patterned brocade of the dress texture is beautifully done, and the golden buttons with fleur-de-lis sets off the dress nicely.  The dress left nothing to be desired, but I’d expect nothing less from a pro like Allegory.  As I mentioned to her, she is one of the handful of people that *define* SL for me.  What would SL be without her giant elephant shaped store and her fantastic, whimsical collaborations with her friend hyasinth tiramisu of Silentsparrow?  For me, SL would be just a bit too boring without them around.

Although the focus of this post is on the clothing and jewelry, I have to put in a few words about the gorgeous boots.  These are one of the latest releases from Lassitude & Ennui – another bastion of SL fashion.  I think my very first pair of SL shoes were from them – way back in 2007.  These particular boots, Selene, are on sale for the La Venta Eventa for only L$60 – a true bargain for boots of this quality and beauty!  Finally, the elegant hair I’m wearing was a Christmas-time release from Amacci.  It’s an attachment that must be worn with a hairbase, but Amacci generously provides those for free.  If you need hairbases, this is the place to go because Amacci has every color under the sun – one to match *any* hair you own.

Here is the black version of deVere – it’s so elegant.  I love the double-breasted buttons on the jacket.  And look how the mesh skirt moves with you so beautifully!  The shoes I’m wearing here are also from Lassitude & Ennui – the Arcanist shoes in black.  They’re perfect for a “period” look such as this.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my little post.  If you’d like to see some artful, on location photos of this outfit, check my flickr page by clicking the link to the left!  Until next time…

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

Well, Happy New Year to everyone out there in cyberland!  Where does the time go?  It feels like just yesterday it was January 2011, and here we are in another new year already.  My New Year’s Resolution in terms of SL is to blog more frequently and network a bit more, and continue to stay far away from the drama that is perpetuated by the younger and/or less mature members of the blogger community.  I resolve to constantly remember that I blog primarily for myself, and that if anyone else out there likes what I do, that’s just icing on the virtual cake.  I wish every one of you the best year possible.

Ok, so when I returned to SL after weeks of inactivity (due to RL, etc.), I saw that Ghani had done a black and white version of Kirsten, for Twisted Krissmus – which means that it’s a *steal* at only L$100.  Better news, I discovered that Twisted Krissmus runs through January 6, so it’s not too late to nab this gorgeous outfit from +++Blue Blood+++.  Lookee!  I took some on location pics for you!  (I know I’m such an old-fashioned blogger – almost always shooting studio photos.  That’s another resolution of mine – get out of my photo studio skybox more often!)

Mmmm!  So yummy!  I love it when Ghani does black and white versions of her outfits.  She usually makes them special editions like she did here.  You can see all the other colors of Kirsten further down on my blog – I just love this outfit sooo much!   I also love this rather new asymmetrical hairstyle from Exile, called Callisto.  It’s so sexy, but in real life, I’d constantly be pushing those locks out of my eyes. lol  That’s why I love SL – no aggravations like that.

Nothing else I’m wearing is new – I’ve blogged them all recently – except for the earrings from Virtual/Insanity.  V/I has lots of new things out right now.  These are the Rising Sun earrings in black.  Here’s a studio closeup photo since the lighting and transparent prims on location did not do them justice.

Well, that’s it for now.  I may be back soon coz I’m enjoying blogging and feeling the need to increase my post count. :D

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

Bubblez Designs has some really nice items out right now, and I thought I’d show them to you, along with lots of freebies and sale items that I picked up in the last few days.  This is the time of year for gifts, and boy, have our designer friends been generous!

First up is a gorgeous new outfit from Bubblez, which is *not* free, but is a total bargain for all you get.  The Blood Rose outfit comes with the dress with lots of sculpted embellishments, gloves, legcuffs, earrings, shoes (not the ones I’m wearing though), and the hair with ornaments.  It also comes with the hair ornaments separate so that you can wear your own hair with it.  It’s easily resizeable, too.  The Bubblez Doll Shoes are not part of this outfit, but they are another new release from that store.  The shoes that come with the dress are pretty, but they’re flats and I prefered the way these cut-out heel shoes with lace socks looked with the dress.

Aren’t the shoes cute?  And they come in lots of other colors, too, besides this Blood Rose pair.  You can also get a closer look at the beautiful sculpted rose and chains adornments on the outfit.  So cool!  The skin I’m wearing is a recent gift from [VoiD] – check the notices for the “Share the Love” gift.  I’ve added the makeup tattoo from the Gala Phoenix group gift coz I love love those red lips!  I’ve also added new piercings from Haus of Darcy, which has lots of newness out right now.  HoD also has done new colors for their piercings – like a pretty pomegranate, green, purple, and blue.  I’m wearing the Lisbeth piercing in the color called Seep (red).  The green Starlight eyes are a Christmas gift from the Plastik.

Next up is a L$12 Fur Vest from Bubblez, with which I’ve created a LOTD.  I never do those (mostly coz they’re time consuming to put together), but some recent additions to my inventory just begged me to throw them together.  So, here I’m wearing a very cool mesh skirt from Aura, which is having a sale right now.  It comes in lots of colors, and with or without the skull on the side.  Love that skirt!  The awesome boots are from the hot, new store Death Row Designs.  These are the Boundcuffed Chain boots in black.  They come in tons of other dirty colors, too.  They’re messy and worn and totally cool.  You gotta love boots with handcuffs, am I right?  :D  The shirt worn under the fur vest is from Roots, the clothing annex of RedMint, which is also having a huge sale right now.  The skull top (which is for guys, I think, but worked for me under the vest), also comes with the ripped, chained gloves and a hoodie.

The beautiful skin is a special Christmas makeup of Illusory’s Paige skin line.  It’s available as part of the Year End Sale at Illusory, Aura, Cheeky Pea, and a few other stores working together.  The necklaces (I’m wearing two) are from Forsaken – the red one is the Biohazard Batty necklace, and the longer one is the Key to the Beyond Necklace.  The hair is also relatively new – this is Wasabi Pills’ Clementine style which has a color-change hairtie. Unfortunately, SL was being stupid for me and not allowing me to change the color of the hairband.  It was no big deal though since I was wearing black and grey anyway. :)  Finally, the piercings are again from Haus of Darcy, this is a reworking of the popular Crow’s Crux piercing set.  Aydan has added new colors, including this pretty red Seep color.  The piercing comes with and without the crow feather dangling from your mouth.

Finally, I have one more LOTD outfit to show you, again built around an item from Bubblez Designs.

This is the relatively new Bubblez Winter Jacket in a nicely done black leather.  It includes the cute chained tie, and also comes with a version without the tie, and the tie separately.  You can mix and match to your heart’s content.  The teensy, barely there, mini is another sale item from Roots – the high waisted mini jeans set.  The Death Row Designs boots here are the blue version of the Boundcuffed Chained boots.  The hair is part of Exile’s Christmas subscribo gift.  I think this is meant to be a guy’s style, but I love it!  The skin is the Curio group gift Angel skin, worn in the Moonbeam tone.  I have to say that I love the skin, but I wish it had darker eyebrows!  This is the “dark” version, too!  I tried to find an eyebrow tattoo in my inventory, to no avail.  But, I shouldn’t look a gift horse in the mouth, so thank you Gala; I love the skin, especially the makeup tattoo with the full, red lips!  The earrings are part of Emo-tions’ Christmas gifts, which (sadly) have been removed.  Yep, the tree is gone, and poor little Kat didn’t get a chance to grab them. :/  One last item to mention is the third new release piercing from Haus of Darcy.  This is the Reach Piercing set in the green color called Tide.  It took me quite awhile to fit the separate pieces, but I think it was totally worth it.  HoD makes the coolest piercings, don’t they?

Whew!  Well, that’s it for now.  If I don’t blog again soon, I wanted to wish you all a very Happy New Year, filled with all the wonderful things you can imagine.   Until next time,

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

Oops!  Post edited to let you all know that Bubblez has a new sim, a new look, a new landmark, and a store-wide SALE!  Everything except new releases are on sale for only L$50.  And there’s a new pretty mermaid necklace in the lucky board!  See you there!

I’ve been away so long!  December really kicked my butt in RL.  I received these beautiful Lolita Latex platform boots and dress from Ezura way back in the second week of December and tried them on immediately.  I logged back in after over two weeks of inactivity to find that the dress was still as gorgeous as I remembered.  Look at this latex loveliness.

I will be honest with you – I’m not a big fan of latex.  Mostly because I’m not a pants wearer and most latex outfits consist of skin-tight pants and tops.  But this is gorgeous latex!  Ezura does some of the best latex I’ve seen, and I don’t even have to wear pants!  And look what she did with the top – how cute is that ruffled sleeveless bodice with the little cameo embellishment?  I just love this dress!  The dress comes with two different skirts,  too.  I’m wearing the lolita skirt on the left and a sculpted, tulip skirt on the right.  The platform boots are a perfect match, of course, since Ezura planned it that way.  But they are very believably latexy.  (Shhh. You know what I mean.)  This perfect skin is Belleza’s group Christmas gift.  Such a beautiful skin!  Why do I keep forgetting how fecking awesome Belleza’s skins are?  Maybe coz they rarely come in the palest of pale tones that I prefer, but this one is certainly pale enough.  The cutie patootie hair is the current group gift from D!va – they have over 25,000 members!  Holy crap!  25,000!  D!va also has just redone her textures, and they are even prettier than before.  Love!

I’ve been back inworld for over a week now and I’ve just been trying to catch up on all the gifts and sales.  I figured I’d better blog this before I spent any more time hunting, etc.  I don’t want people to think that I’ve given up blogging all together!  I just can’t devote as much time to it as I once did due to RL changes that keep me busier than before.  :/  But, in any case, I hope you enjoyed my ramblings and observances, and until next time….

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

So, I realized that it’s been *ages* since I blogged katat0nik, and that’s just a shame.  Katat0nik Pidgeon is one of the few remaining *real* artists designing clothing in SL.  The fact that she’s still here, still designing, just makes SL that much better for me.  I remember the first time I found katat0nik’s store.  I fell in love with her ultra cute, hand drawn, original designs.  I loved that she gave lots of gifts and bargains for those that can’t afford to buy a full-price outfit.  Thanks to Fifty Linden Fridays, her group gifts, and group lucky board(s), you can still find a bargain at katat0nik.  Today, I want to show you a few items I’ve picked up there.  Now, I’ll start with the one that is no longer on the lucky boards.  I actually have been meaning to blog this *forever* and I blame myself for not showing it to you while you could still get it for free.  Anywho…

With this “look,” I wanted to show several items in my inventory from katat0nik, so the hair, the tattoo, the leggings, and the boots are from there, as well as the dress.  The leggings were given out as a gift last Valentine’s Day, I think, and I liked the way they looked with this Skye Dress.  Now, I’m not positive, but you may still be able to get the dress, which comes in many other colors, at a cheap price (around L$200 maybe).  The cool Butterfly Bullet armband, necklace, and bracelet are from -=Forsaken=-.  I love these!  They come in lots of colors, too.  They’ve been around for a few months, but they’re still available, I’m sure.

And now for something much newer – one of two current group gifts for katat0nik group members (L$250 to join).

I love this dress!  It’s so Christmasy, yet not overly green and red like a caricature.  It’s just purty!  Other colors of this dress, called Sugar Cookie, are the current lucky board dress, too!  I haven’t been lucky enough to win any of them yet, nor have I really had the time to stalk the board, but I’ll just have to find the time coz I love this dress!  The cute shoes are an old Christmas item (last year maybe) from Ingenue.   The hair is a recent release from Wasabi Pills – another beautiful mesh hair called Sachiko.  This one comes with a detachable color-change barrette.  Precious!  The skin is the gorgeous Paige skin that Illusory did for the Vintage Fair – yummy red lips!  The little holly berry necklace is the current group gift from Dark Mouse.

Well, that’s enough of Des.  Little Katastr0ph1c Hurricane, the alt I made for Gogo’s Newbie Challenge II, has been dying to come back on the blog.  I’ve found another cute shape that I’ve fallen in love with, and now she’s a cute young girl, maybe 13 at the most.  If I took a pic of her with Des, you’d see how tiny she is.  Des is actually very short compared to most other female avatars on the grid, but Kat is *really* petite.

How feckin’ cute is she?!  I love her!  I went nuts at Pink Fuel’s Black Friday sale and bought an entire skin line for her.  The Elly skin, with the tons of add-on lipsticks and glosses, is just perfect for her.  I picked up the faun boots and the shape from *Epic* at the Perfect Wardrobe – Black and White – sale a few weeks ago.  I did modify the shape a bit though; thank you so much for making the shape mod, [annA]!  I got the ears for free (or was it L$1?) at ni.ju, which has lots of neat freebies in the basement, where the lucky boards are (they’re on the floor).  The hair is from ploom, and yes, I bought this hair *twice* – once for Des and once for little Kat.  It’s my *all-time* favorite hairstyle. :D  Back to the cute dress – this one is the Pink Ruby Dress, which was a FLF special last week.  Good news if you missed it – I just got a notice that Ms. Pidgeon has put out some super bargains for Christmas (like L$50 dresses)!

Okay, one more from little Kat – the Candy Pink Triple Dip Dress.

This one, along with the shoes, was a Black Friday L$50 special.   Aww, the shoes are too big for Kat’s little feet!  hee hee.  The hair was a freebie at Analog Dog’s recent hunt, and the long unicorn necklace was a freebie at the Never Was Is event from Ear Candy.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my pics and my ramblings.  You got two, two, two avatars in one today!  By the way, designers, if you’re reading this and you design quality items for child/youth avatars, please contact me inworld if you’re looking for blog coverage.  I’m really enjoying dressing up little Kat!  Well, until next time…

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

Hey, Des is bloggin’!  I made the “mistake” of updating my Firestorm viewer last week, and of course, all hell broke loose.  It happens every time I update a viewer.  My main problem was textures not loading.  Makes it kind of hard to blog an outfit when half of it is grey.  Sigh.  So, the problem is (mostly) resolved; I’ve also decided to just work around it as much as possible.

So, last week’s release from Blue Blood was the incredible Dahlia gown.  It comes with three different skirt styles, plus lots of fancy, sculpted add-ons.

The composite above actually shows all three skirts.  The skirt on the far right is open in the front, but you can’t tell from the side.  The sculpted skirt top on the far right skirt can be worn with all the skirts if you wish, or can be worn with just the lingerie undies for an uber-sexy fetish look – think underbust corset, bare bosoms, stockings, garters, and the sculpted skirt piece.  Ooh la la!  I didn’t show you the open front skirt head-on coz my main problem last week was that the textures on the stockings just would not rez!  I tried everything, too.  Ghani even sent me brand new copies, but nothing helped.  So, I just decided to blog the outfit like this.  Ok, here’s a closeup of Dahlia.

This skin is one of the latest releases from Matrioska, Blue Blood’s skin store.  This one is called Domina and comes with and without teeth, and with both black and red lipstick.  With the super-gaunt cheeks, it’s a great goth look.   As usual, the outfit is so opulent that it’s not necessary to accessorize much.  I did choose a wonderfully flamboyant hair from RedMint, called simply enough No. 11, coz of the feathers and skully gothic hairpins.  I think it looks even better with the next Blue Blood release – Coppelia.

I must admit that Coppelia is a new favorite of mine.  It has everything I love in an outfit – great textures, of course, plus an open-front, bustled in the back, burlesque skirt.  It has crow feathers – I love crows!  And it has something unusual and not seen on every other burlesque skirt on the grid – that interesting rope-like layer.  Yeah, my descriptive skills are sucking at the moment.  But you can see what I mean.  A picture is worth a thousand words, yada, yada, yada.

I’m also wearing the Domina skin with the red lipstick, and I’ve addded some sexy, gothic western boots from -=Forsaken=-.  The boots come in two styles – this one colorfully named “Step on My Fuckin’ Boots, I DARE ya!”, and a slightly less kick-ass version called Skull Crusher Boots.  I say slightly less kick ass coz they’re a bit plainer – without the spikey studs and dangly chains.  Oh!  The necklace!  I love this one, too.  It’s from Lolapop! and it’s called Corvus – which is the latin name for crows!  The pendant has a silver crow skull on a black cameo background, and the chain is studded with red stones.  The Corvus set includes earrings, bracelets, the necklace, and the cute little hat worn above – awesome!

Ok, one more pic for you – a closeup of the sexy -=Forsaken=- boots, along with a gratuitious shot of Coppelia, just becoz I really like the pose.  :D

Yummy, no?!  Chains, skulls, and spikey studs.  What’s not to love? :D  The boots come in several other colors besides this sexy red, including purple, black, and a darker, oxblood red.

So, I hope you enjoyed.  If so, your shopping list is below.  Until next time…

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

Saur Holt of Gothic Passionate Dreams has put out a free dress for the holidays.  Best of all, it’s not green and red!  It’s a lovely black lace and satin gothic gown!

I was very pleased with the elegance of the dress, and did I mention it’s free? :)  The hair is from lamb and is called Phenomena.  I picked it up at Collabor88.  It comes with a shaved head hairbase, but I preferred it with a normal hairbase.  The little red rose is a freebie at SoliDea FoliEs; I went there looking for a sale item (that I missed – pouts), but found a truly gorgeous sim that I am sure to revisit.  The very spiked collar is from Haus of Darcy’s recent release, the Draconic Girl Collection.  Now, the skin.  I love when I get a random, out of the blue IM from a designer saying something along the lines of “want to see what I’m working on?”  My response is always the same – “do I?!!”  Such an event occurred Tuesday night when False Imako of Void chatted me up and gave me a sneak preview of her not-yet-released skins and new store.  This is the Hawk skin in the Natural tone with a new makeup called Frost.  The Hawk line features tintable eyebrows so you can match your hairtone.  Ms. Imako, a/k/a Boo, will be releasing several new makeups for Hawk.  Plus, she’s made some significant upgrades to the body – including glow!  I should really have stripped down to show you what a great job Boo has done with these skins.  But for now, you can get a little peak of Hawk by finding the prize for the Twilight Saga Hunt.  It’s a version of Hawk with makeup that pays homage to Alice Cullen.  It has little vampire teeth and is quite lovely!  Thank you so much, Boo, for treating me to a sneak peak!

Well, that’s it for now.  I’ve got a 17 pound turkey in the oven, and I need to go baste that b!tch. lol  Until next time, Happy Thanksgiving to my compatriots, and…

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!
