“!gO!” and More (red)Mint

0

So, I’m on my second Snow Day.  That means more time for SL and blogging!  Recently, I was surfing the Marketplace, looking for freebies and cheapies.  In the process, I was introduced to a new-to-me store called “!gO!” by Gocha Merlin.  I decided to visit it inworld and just had to pick up a few things.  Today, I’m showing you the Naughty Chemise mesh top, which was quite reasonably priced, and which also comes in several other colors, including a fabulous red.  I liked the shape of the mesh top, open and hanging in delicious ways on my avi’s body.  It comes in various sizes, all in one folder, so you can find the one that fits you best.

I would have actually bought lots more stuff at !gO!, but it’s the end of the month and I’m running short on lindens.  :/  But, this is a store that I’ll be watching, for sure!  I’m once again wearing my (red)Mint ePunk boots, this time in black, with the included socks.  Now these socks are part of the original ePunk boots.  As I mentioned yesterday, Ms. Schulze has released several new sock add-on sets (available as HUDs).  Also as I mentioned yesterday, the boots come with several options – the socks on just one leg or the other, or on both legs, plus all the appliers for the current big booty fad.  I’m also wearing (red)Mint’s new hair once again because I wanted to wear this cute gacha Aviator Rush Hat by PopTart that I picked up at Suicide Dollz. I got this rare Kamikaze version on my first play!  This (red)Mint hairstyle works better than most if you want to wear some headgear.  You probably can’t see them, but I’m also wearing a little miniskirt by Sn@tch coz I didn’t want my “lady bits” to be “proud and out loud,” if you know what I mean.  And now….the obligatory closeup!

Here, you can better see the cool hat with its cracked lenses; it also has spikes on the back, which you can’t see in this pic.  Well, that’s it for now.  Until next time…

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

I love me some League and (red)Mint!

So, League had a sale.  If you’re very, very lucky, the sale prices are still in effect even though, technically, the sale is over.  I just love League – it’s been around forever (since 2007), and the texture and sculpting work is just amazing, I think.  I’ll never forget when League first came out with the gartered stockings.  I think they were the first in SL to offer them, and if not the first, they were the first store to do the gartered stockings so well.  They are super sexy and super cute, too.  So, when I read that League was having a 50% off sale, I just had to run over and fill up my shopping bag.

league nyx corset and lace skirt edited

Of course, I had to get some new gartered stockings, so I picked up the brambled pattern – so cute!  I fell in love with the dirty lace skirts, and had to get both colors, black and brown – brown is shown here.  The Nyx corsets just blew me away – via HUD you can change whether the straps are assymetrical -one down, one up, or symmetrical – both down.  You can also choose whether the outlines of the straps are brown, black, or without outlines.  Then the corset itself has several modes – how many seams you want on the corset, the color of the seams, plus the colors of the spikes, and even whether you want the spikes to show in the first place.  Amazingly versatile!  Now, the Nyx corset actually has skirt add-ons that match them perfectly, but I challenged myself to do more of a mix-up outfit, so voilà.

Now, I did mention (red)Mint in my post title, right?  (red)Mint is another absolutely favorite store of mine because Moni Schulze can really create *anything.*  She does skins, shoes, clothing, hair, jewelry, shapes.  Just about everything you need to beautify yourself.  Many of her products (especially the skins) have a definite fantasy feel to them, but everything else can really be worn by *anyone*!  Case in  point, the wonderful new hairstyle worn here.  It is perfect for wearing under hats without having to adjust anything.  And the textures are among the best in SL, I believe.  Plus, when you wear (red)Mint hair, you *won’t* look like everyone else in SL!  The boots are also by (red)Mint – they come in every color you could possibly want – and they come with various sock options.  They are actually not a new item.  However, Moni released new sock add-ons for the boots.  I feel a bit bad for not showing you some of the socks, but I tried and they just didn’t go with the rest of this outfit.  Plus, I wanted to show League’s famous gartered socks!  But with the (red)Mint boots, you can change the sock textures and patterns via HUD a gazillion ways – darks, lights, stripes, you name it.  Plus, you can choose whether you have one sock up or both, and there are appliers for all the current mesh booty add-ons that so many people seem to love.  Here’s a close up before I forget… See the pretty textures on the hair??  Yummy!

My skin is by Belleza, the recent Fifty Linden Friday redhead skin (love it!), and my bracelets, horns, collar, and necklace is by the Plastik, another recent FLF set.  My nails are by the incomparable +:WTG:+.  As you may know, I was away for over a year, and I’m still finding “new” stuff in my inventory (new to me, anyway).  If you’re looking for over-the-top-fancy nails with rings, lots of options, and just exquisite workmanship, +:WTG:+ is your shop.  These nails are an older item and are not made for SLink hands, but they look damn good even without the fancy mesh hands, I think!

Ok, I really didn’t mean to write this much!  I’m long-winded, huh?  I’ll shut up now and just say…

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

^v^DRBC^v^ and Death Row Designs – Part 2

As promised, in this post, I will show you another outfit from DRBC, along with another color of DRD’s Post Apocalyptic Nerdstomper Boots.  Now, apparently, I did not pay full price for this dress.  No, I got it for only L$100, and you can, too, if you hurry over to Suicide Dollz before it ends!

DRBC and DRD Sweet Tart Gazebo

This is DRBC’s Sweet Tart Lovedoll dress, which as I said, is available in this pattern, as well as five other patterns, for only L$100.  I love the mesh skirt on the dress.  I’ve bought other mesh outfits where the creator tried to make a short, flared skirt, and was not pleased at how it worked on my avi.  This one works great!  Honestly,  I loved every single pattern this dress came in, but I had to be frugal and just pick one – so hard (whines)!  As you can see, I’m wearing another color of DRD’s boots here – the Fire color.  You can also better see my fave new tattoo in this pic.  I picked up this Fly Away birds leg tattoo by My Cocaine at Fi*Friday for a great price.

drbc sweet tart bench

You may have noticed my skin is different in this post than the last one.  I had to return to my Belleza Ria Pale skin, available for a discounted price at the fabulous Collabor88 (previously blogged).    I also added some lovely jewelry by Violet Voltaire, which is still available on the Marketplace.  Well, that’s about it.  Hope you enjoyed!

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

Malfean Visions – Gogo

I enjoy the monthly 25 for 25 Hunt.  There are usually pics on the hunt’s website of the prizes offered (see warning at the end of the post),  the items are not impossible to find, and the price is L$25 – pretty reasonable.  The hunt prize from Malfean Visions (:{MV}:) this round is a cute outfit that includes legwarmer boots.  Check it out.

MV Gogo for 25 for 25 comp

MV is one of my fave stores coz Loki has excellent weekly sales (usually on weekends), and she participates in sales events and hunts often, so it’s always possible to get something on sale.  Not to mention, her texturing and sculpting skills are top-notch.  I hope my pics do her work justice; I decided to practice my green screen removal techniques, so we have a rather vanilla three pic comp here.

Let’s see, what else am I wearing?  My skin is from Belleza – the Ria skin available for a special price at Collabor88.  Naturally, I picked the most dramatic makeup option. My hair is the newest release from Magika called Many.  I’m so happy Ms. Gully is still creating hair – she’s such a pro.  My jewelry is not new; you can see the particulars in the credits below.

Now, the warning.  Anyone who reads my blog knows I’m not a drama queen.  Since I am, in a way, promoting the 25 for 25 Hunt in this blog today, I feel compelled to let you know that the hunt pic for BSD Design Studio is *not* the prize you are buying for L$25.  No, it is simply the *location* of the hunt item.  Imagine my disappointment when I opened the box, thinking I was getting a really amazing pair of shoes for a measly L$25, and I find instead a little purse.  I never wear purses in SL.  Meh.  Deleted.  L$25 down the drain.  You are hereby warned. 🙂  (By the way, I’m not alleging any intentional attempt to deceive by anyone; most likely, it was an honest mistake.  See?  Not a drama queen, just a fan of truth in advertising.)

Until next time, happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

Sn@tch for TDR Fusion

I just love Ivey Deschanel of Sn@tch, and I am so happy that she is still with SL, and still a prodigiously prolific designer with new releases every week.  I really admire her work ethic!  Sn@tch is a guest designer at TDR (The Dressing Room) Fusion this go-around, and I can’t be more pleased.  Here’s the sexy, yet classy, outfit she designed for us.

snatch for tdr fusion_002

Socialite is available in three different color combinations, each for an insanely low price.  This is the teal and charcoal combo, which I chose because I needed a little color mix-up from my usual reds, blacks, and whites (oh, and pink, of course).  You get the sexy mesh halter top with the add-on brooch, which is color change via click.  And of course you get the slimming, quilted fabric pencil skirt.

snatch for tdr fusion_003

I also love my new boots! I picked these up at SL Fashion Week; they’re by PopTart and come in two heel types – platform and combat – and with or without the cool wings. All types are sold separately.  Obligatory close up time!

snatch for tdr fusion_004Let’s see; what else am I wearing?  The cuffs are by deviousMind and are available at OMGacha – I love them so much, I couldn’t stop clicking “pay” to try to get all the colors!  Darn gacha machines!  My horns are another OMGacha item, this time from Tabou Iresistible.  That’s another gacha machine I couldn’t stop playing.  Love those little horns!  Finally, my earrings were free at Sn@tch’s Fishing Pond.  Ivey has generously put 25 boxes containing boots, jewelry, dresses, skirts, and tops in the pond, and all you have to do is fish them out – absolutely free (no bait required).  I wanted to show you some of the fishing prizes, but I’m not sure if I’ll have the time to do another post soon.  Christmas break is officially over and RL work calls!

Well, hope you enjoyed, and happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

No. 512 – The Little Bat

0

Hey, there.  Tonight I want to show you a gorgeous outfit I picked up from the Little Bat.  I wish I could remember exactly where I picked it up, but I’m sure it’s available at the mainstore.  (I probably got it at Gothmas by Gaslight.)

TLB Ginny 2

I am completely in love with this outfit!  It fits like a dream, and I barely needed to modify my shape.  Even better, the medium size fits me.  This is important to me because my avi is not large – not at all.  She’s fairly short and very thin.  It boggles my mind why I usually have to wear the large size of mesh outfits.  Anyway…. the outfit consists of a long, low riding mesh skirt, a corset, and mesh sleeves that create a sort of tiny jacket that just covers your shoulders and arms.  Love it!  The textures are incredibly yummy, too.  Drusilla Dethly is definitely on my watch list!

TLB Ginny 1My hair is from Dura (not new, I think, but new to me).  I love the asymmetrical bangs.  My shoes are the sames ones I wore in my last post – also from the Little Bat – and my nails and rings are an older item from +:+WTG+:+, who does amazing work with jewelry.

And now, the obligatory closeup…

TLB Ginny 5

You can really see the beauty of the corset’s textures here.  Damn, that’s nice!  These photos were taken at the Golden Thread art installation on the Miamai sim.  Well, thanks for reading, and happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

Violent Seduction – Criminal and Royal Star

0

It’s no secret that I’m a long-time fan of Violent Seduction.  I thank the stars above that Iki is still in SL and still designing beautiful outfits for my little avi.  So, without further ado, here are two outfits that I picked up at Gothmas by Gaslight recently.  One is new for Gothmas (I believe) and the other is new to me (coz I was away for awhile).

This is the newest outfit, Royal Star, which I purchased in the black version.  It also comes in several other lovely shades. It’s a mesh outfit, which comes in several sizes.  The dress comes with the cute little hat and ribbed tights, as well.  I’m once again wearing one of the lovely Belleza group gifts for Christmas – Mya – Pale.  I’ve added a blackish lipstick, however.  My hair and horns are from Lelutka – a fun little mesh style called Evilly in the Coalmine shade.  Yummy!  By the way, the horns are an add-on; you can wear the hair without them.

While I was at Gothmas by Gaslight, shopping at Violent Seduction, I noticed this gorgeous outfit that I had missed while I was away – Criminal – which, again, I bought in the black version.  It comes with lots of pieces – the little bow with caged veil, caged collar, the caged skirt, a transparent over skirt, the under skirt, and then a choice of sleeved or sleeveless tops, and a mesh corset.  I had to fatten up my avi a little bit to make the corset fit best, but happily my avi is mod.  My little updo hairstyle is by adoness, and my earrings and bracelet are one of my favorite jewelry sets – Schadenfreude’s Electro Cute Skull set.  Finally my shoes (worn with both outfits) are from the Little Bat – the Muertos Heels, which are color-change via HUD.  They are quite reasonably priced, too.

And here’s a closeup. 🙂  The top seems a bit out of focus; not sure why this happened.  I probably should have cleared my cache or something.  Apologies. :/

Bubblez Designs – Kyo

Man, my Gimping skills have gotten seriously noobish.  I played around with some shots I took of Bubblez Designs’ newest outfit, tried to make a cute composite, and this is what I ended up with….

BB Kyo

Apologies to all.  I promise to work harder on recovering what little skills I possessed a few years ago. But I do like the outfit and hope you do, too.  It comes with almost everything seen here – the little horns, mesh dress (quite revealing on the sides), pitchfork, and boots.  I added some leggings I found in my inventory, as well as some pasties to hide the nips a bit.  I’m also wearing one of three Christmas gift skins for Belleza group members – Mya is my favorite!  Such a generous gift!  You get three separate skins in a gazillion tones, all with black, blonde, or red brows.  My hair is one of ploom’s latest – one of the specially priced daily deals during the holidays, and finally, I’m wearing some lovely new IKON mesh eyes.  The instructions for fitting were a bit complicated, so I’m not sure if I’m wearing them correctly, but they look fine to me.

Thanks for reading, and happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

Joyeux Noel!

I thought I’d do a quick “Merry Christmas” post showing what I’ve been wearing for the last week.  I loved the outfit so much, I didn’t want to take it off, even though I picked up about a bazillion new things in the meantime.  Yeah, I guess I’m back to my old SL self. lol

Hello, Mr. Reindeer

I spent some time at Gothmas by Gaslight, which I found incredibly lovely.  I walked all around, enjoying the atmosphere, and picking up a few items that I hope to eventually blog about.  That way, at least, I’ll have some justification for the purchases. 😉

Anyway, here’s a closeup I took at the Inspiration Point Christmas Hunt before I actually started hunting.  That was a hoot, by the way.  I easily found all the little gifts by hovering in the air and camming in on the little Christmas trees.  It’s easier to read the map when you’re way up in the air, looking down on the sim.

Gothmas 2013 2

The dress is the hunt gift from Kastle Rock Kouture for the Candy Cane 5 Hunt.  Gorgeous Dress!  Love it soooo much!  Thank you, Kastle Rock!  The hair with attached crown is by Analog Dog from the Arcade gatcha event – I lucked out and got the one with the red crown – yes!  The horns were also from the Candy Cane 5 Hunt from Goth1c0.  The gorgeous skin is the Fifty Linden Friday skin from Belleza that was available last Friday.  Yummy!  All in all, a fun look for the Christmas season, which as you know is not officially finished until January 6. 🙂

Thanks for reading!  Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. Mwah!

Lolapop and Schadenfreude for Etheria

0

Etheria 2, Painted Ladies, When Jewelers Dream is going on until January 8 on the Amira sim.  Usually, the clothing is the main event, with jewelry considered an accessory.  With Etheria, the jewelry is the main event – each jewelry designer, invited to participate by the event organizer, in turn chose a clothing designer to create an outfit to complement the jewelry.  The theme this time around is Painted Ladies – focusing on those special ladies that kept the Miner 49ers company on those chilly nights after a long day of panning for gold during the California Gold Rush of 1849.  Tonight I’m going to showcase the collaboration between two of my favorite designers – Lola Hienrichs of Lolapop! and Allegory Malaprop of Schadenfreude.  Since the jewelry is the focus, I’ll show you the closeup first. 🙂

Lola designed a cameo and pearls set called Cosette.  (Cosette is a character in Victor Hugo’s Les Miserables, btw).  The choker and earrings come in either black pearls (shown here) or white.  The cameo design is that of open red and yellow roses, along with greenery and a rosebud, surrounded by a silver frame embellished with silver leaves and roses.   To complement the Cosette set, Allegory chose to focus on a dress that evoked that special class of lady of ill-repute – the madame of the house.  Often, these ladies were so well-off that they were able to import the latest fashions from the streets of Paris and London.  Allegory tells us that the dresses are named for Pearl deVere, one of those “classy” ladies who commanded a hefty price for her services and for those of her girls as well.

DeVere comes in six colors, including the scarlet shown above, and the black I’ll show you next.  The outfit comes with lots of pieces, including a rigged mesh skirt with attached bustle in two sizes (try a demo to make sure it fits you), as well as the mesh bustle alone in two sizes.  It also comes with lace stockings, a black undershirt and bloomers, bloomer and undershirt ruffles, ruffled sleeves, and a jacket.  The ruffled pieces are all sculpted bits that are easily resizeable.  As you can see, there are various wear options with this beautiful outfit.  The fleur-de-lis patterned brocade of the dress texture is beautifully done, and the golden buttons with fleur-de-lis sets off the dress nicely.  The dress left nothing to be desired, but I’d expect nothing less from a pro like Allegory.  As I mentioned to her, she is one of the handful of people that *define* SL for me.  What would SL be without her giant elephant shaped store and her fantastic, whimsical collaborations with her friend hyasinth tiramisu of Silentsparrow?  For me, SL would be just a bit too boring without them around.

Although the focus of this post is on the clothing and jewelry, I have to put in a few words about the gorgeous boots.  These are one of the latest releases from Lassitude & Ennui – another bastion of SL fashion.  I think my very first pair of SL shoes were from them – way back in 2007.  These particular boots, Selene, are on sale for the La Venta Eventa for only L$60 – a true bargain for boots of this quality and beauty!  Finally, the elegant hair I’m wearing was a Christmas-time release from Amacci.  It’s an attachment that must be worn with a hairbase, but Amacci generously provides those for free.  If you need hairbases, this is the place to go because Amacci has every color under the sun – one to match *any* hair you own.

Here is the black version of deVere – it’s so elegant.  I love the double-breasted buttons on the jacket.  And look how the mesh skirt moves with you so beautifully!  The shoes I’m wearing here are also from Lassitude & Ennui – the Arcanist shoes in black.  They’re perfect for a “period” look such as this.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my little post.  If you’d like to see some artful, on location photos of this outfit, check my flickr page by clicking the link to the left!  Until next time…

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!
