Souled Out, Morphine, et al.

Hello, lovely ones.  I’ve been busy both in RL and SL lately.  The marking period came to an end in RL, so I was busy grading; as for SL, it’s been hunts and fairs and festivals – oh my!  One cool outfit I found in a hunt is from Souled Out for the Mysteries of the Sea Hunt.  I know – not exactly a mermaid outfit, is it?  That’s why I had to nab it and show it to you!  The outfit consists of the mesh dress *and* the boots – what a bargain for only L$5!  And you have until April 10th to find it.  I also spent some time doing the Black Crowes Hunt (how could I resist?), and picked up the really nice choker (among other jewelry in the folder) at Adoness.  Cost?  L$10.  You have just until March 25th to grab the goodies in this hunt.

My next outing was to the Luck of the Irish Gacha Fair – soooooo much good stuff there!  I picked up the awesome wings from Arise and the nicely crafted legchain from Death Row Designs.  But I wasn’t finished shopping!  Of course not.  There’s always more to grab in SL, so next up was the Skin Fair.  Isn’t this skin from Morphine just lovely?  If you’re looking for a “normal” skin – for non-roleplayers, non-goths, etc., then my pictures here don’t do Morphine’s work justice because, believe me, the skin is gorgeous.  I’m wearing Morphine’s new-for-Skin Fair Ghail skin with the add-on lipstick.  I’m also wearing lovely eyes from Morphine as well, in my favorite color – pale grey.

Souled Out Davy Jones 2

Truth came out with new hair recently, and I had to have this one – I love it when Truth does unusual styles!  This is Maisy (in black, of course), worn with the included buns.  They are optional, however, if you’d rather not wear them (nice touch).  In the next pic, you can see the lovely blush on the Morphine skin.  Usually, I don’t like skins with blush added; I usually find they’re too “cute” for me, but Morphine does it right here – love it!  My awesome piercings are from the inimitable Haus of Darcy.  This is an older set called Provocation, which I love because there are little unholy crosses on the lip piercings.  Provocation comes with a chest piercing as well, which you’ll notice on my chest right below the Adoness choker.  If you’re new to HoD, be advised there are three floors of older piercings at reduced prices.  Trust me, you’ll find some real bargains there for the quality of these piercings.

Well, that’s about it.  For any worn items not mentioned, and for a landmark to my photo location, keep reading below!  Until next time, happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

I Heart Role Play

0

Hello, my lovelies.  I’ve been away longer than I expected.  What have I been doing?  Well, let’s see…. First, I tried to get a handle on my bloated inventory using a Simple Closet device I bought for only L$199; then I became a premium member and changed Linden homes a couple of times; then I spent some time decorating said Linden home; and I did a bunch of hunts – mostly cherry-picking my must-have items.  Oh, I also tried *unsuccessfully* to shop at the Whore Couture (sorry, but I hate that name), and the Arcade events – yes, that’s right, I *still* have not successfully tp’d into either event.  Hey, people!  Could you give some other avis a chance, please??  I’ve actually been on a mini vacation break and have tried at every conceivable hour, and still …nada.

But, I *was* able to get into the We Love Role-Play event today (not yesterday, but at least today)!  And I have some awesome things to show you guys.

DE Designs Carmina_003

Where to start??  Well, I shall start at the beginning, of course.  DoC Eldritch of DE Designs sent me the awesome Carmina outfit in black, which consists of the richly textured mesh corset, pants, and fingerless gloves.  It’s been awhile since I blogged DE Designs, but DoC is still designing on a consistent basis.  I first found DE back in 2008 when I was a plain little noobie who had not yet discovered the joy of new skins, when Calla hair was all the rage, and when sculpties, let alone mesh, didn’t even exist yet.  I walked into DE Designs and couldn’t breathe – so much awesomeness!  Gorgeous textures – even a little noob could see the superior quality of his work compared to the majority of stuff that was on the grid back then.  As soon as I put Carmina on, I knew I wanted to do an dark elven huntress thing.  So, I had some shopping to do!  In addition to DE’s Carmina outfit, I’m also wearing the best elf ears I have found.  They’re mesh and from [Mandala]; they come with a HUD to change the skin tone as well as the piercings.  Love them!  I also needed a nice bow set.  I decided to go all out and get a bow that actually worked for role-play.  After comparison shopping at several weapons shops, I decided on this beautiful one from Pucca Firecaster’s Creations (PFC), which came with the leg strap quiver.  I admit, it’s the quiver that really sold me, as well as the shape of the actual bow.  I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet, but it came with all the bells and whistles that combat bows usually come with.

Back to We Love Role-Play – I picked up the headband from =Kio= there – this is the Crow version, but it comes in many other shades/color combinations, as well.  I also picked up the Benediction cross piercing from .:ellabella:. at the Role-Play event.  It also comes with a color-change HUD with lots of options.  My black Nanda hair is from Mina, exclusive to We Heart Role-Play, and I knew it was perfect for this outfit as soon as I saw it!  As I was taking pics, I was playing with the Windlight settings, and I could not believe how beautifully textured it is and how the light changes the colors in the hair.  Gorgeous!  Finally, my beautiful, perfect for role-play skin is from Lumae (formerly Heartsick) – the Una skin in the cream tone with awesome tribal tattoos on the face.  Oh, you can’t see that very well in the photo, can you?  Here you go!

DE Designs Carmina_008

In case you can’t tell, the tribal makeup consists of the dots on my forehead and the swirls and dots under my eyes.  The cross on the bridge of my nose is the .:ellabella:. piercing.  The Una skin is available for a special price at We Love Role-Play in your choice of three tones – cream, honey, or cookie.  Demos are free, of course.  I almost forgot to mention my wonderful Kollo mesh cloak that I picked up on sale at FATEplay.  By the way, the sale there ends March 10, so you still have a few days; if you know a fellow that needs some really well-made mesh clothes – send him to FATE.  I actually couldn’t resist a gorgeous suit I found there;  I spent several days happily cross-dressing. FATE does have a few women’s pieces, and some that are unisex (like my cloak).    One more closeup so you can see my lovely skin, hair, headband, and piercings….

DE Designs Carmina_007

To wrap up this looooong post, I’m also wearing boots from Lapointe and Bastchild (not new, but perfect), and nails with rings, etc. from WTG (also, not new, but perfect – and not for SLink hands).  Hope you enjoyed my ramblings….

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

Carnivals and Hunts – Death Row Designs, Cog & Fleur, et al.

1

I’ve been a busy little bee.  There are so many hunts and limited time events at the moment!  One event I hit several times was the Fantasy Gacha Carnival.  Oh my poor linden balance!  Those little machines are the devil!  But I managed to get a few items I really wanted – not all, sadly.  One vendor in particular had several items I wanted, and all were awesome.  Death Row Designs had these fantastic wings at the Gacha Carnival – fairy and mechanical wings (two types) in a zillion colors, plus some rare animated ones that you could wear in addition to the static wings.  The wings are no longer available at the Carnival, but you can find them at DRD’s mainstore (see LM under “details” below).

Cog & Fleur and DRD framed 1

These are DRD’s mechanical wings called Steam Wings Brass.  They are so beautifully detailed with the shading, chains, and rods.  I admit, I haven’t taken them off in days!  Another little item I got at the Fantasy Gacha Carnival is my little apple bracelet from Enfant Terrible – which is another new-to-me shop that I will be following with great interest.  My last worn item from the Gacha Carnival is from la petite morte – my black roses eyepatch.    If I go back to the Carnival, it will be for the rare version of this eyepatch, which I just must have!  I have an extra variety pack of the roses eyepatches, if anyone wants to trade.  I’ll even add some other things you may want in order to get the special version!  Any takers?? 🙂

Cog & Fleur and DRD framed 3

Here you can see the lovely wings, bracelet, and eyepatch better.  And my horns!  I love my Valentine’s themed new horns from Remarkable Oblivion.  They’re made from bundled arrows, some with red and white striped fletches, all interspersed with red hearts.  Amazingly creative work!  There’s another store that’s on my “must watch” list – Remarkable Oblivion – love it!  These horns, along with a non-Valentine’s themed pair, are available at this month’s FaMESHed.

I think my wild, spiky hair ties together this whole mish-mash of styles I have going on here.   I was so pleased to see this appear at the latest TDR Fusion from LoQ in a bunch of colors for one crazy, low price.  TDR Fusion rocks!  It also comes in a version for guys.  Nice!

Last but certainly not least, is my beautiful outfit from Cog & Fleur, which is their prize for A Gothic Romance Hunt – only L$1, people!  And the outfit includes the necklace and the boots!  Omg, I love Cog & Fleur!  Thank you for going the extra mile with your hunt prize!  Additionally, you will not be hunting for hours for the little red rose – it’s extremely easy to find!  The gold braid against the blood red fabric just make the whole outfit pop, and the textures are very well-done.  This is one of those hunt gifts that you will be pleased to keep in your inventory long after the hunt is over.  I will leave you with one final photo of the ensemble. Thanks for reading, and …

“!gO!” and More (red)Mint

0

So, I’m on my second Snow Day.  That means more time for SL and blogging!  Recently, I was surfing the Marketplace, looking for freebies and cheapies.  In the process, I was introduced to a new-to-me store called “!gO!” by Gocha Merlin.  I decided to visit it inworld and just had to pick up a few things.  Today, I’m showing you the Naughty Chemise mesh top, which was quite reasonably priced, and which also comes in several other colors, including a fabulous red.  I liked the shape of the mesh top, open and hanging in delicious ways on my avi’s body.  It comes in various sizes, all in one folder, so you can find the one that fits you best.

GO and Redmint shopped 2

I would have actually bought lots more stuff at !gO!, but it’s the end of the month and I’m running short on lindens.  :/  But, this is a store that I’ll be watching, for sure!  I’m once again wearing my (red)Mint ePunk boots, this time in black, with the included socks.  Now these socks are part of the original ePunk boots.  As I mentioned yesterday, Ms. Schulze has released several new sock add-on sets (available as HUDs).  Also as I mentioned yesterday, the boots come with several options – the socks on just one leg or the other, or on both legs, plus all the appliers for the current big booty fad.  I’m also wearing (red)Mint’s new hair once again because I wanted to wear this cute gacha Aviator Rush Hat by PopTart that I picked up at Suicide Dollz. I got this rare Kamikaze version on my first play!  This (red)Mint hairstyle works better than most if you want to wear some headgear.  You probably can’t see them, but I’m also wearing a little miniskirt by Sn@tch coz I didn’t want my “lady bits” to be “proud and out loud,” if you know what I mean.  And now….the obligatory closeup!

GO and Redmint shopped 3

Here, you can better see the cool hat with its cracked lenses; it also has spikes on the back, which you can’t see in this pic.  Well, that’s it for now.  Until next time…

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

^^DRBC^^ and Deathrow Designs (DRD) – Part 1

0

I have a new favorite store.  It goes by ^v^DRBC^v^, which stands for Death Rocker Betty Crocker.  The name alone is awesome.  Once I wandered around inside, I liked the store even more.  While it is not a huge store, what it does have is quite inventive and fun, and of course, very punky goth/lolita.  I ran over there this past week because a really cute dress was on sale for Woeful Wednesday.  While there, I had to grab up a few more items.  Good news for everyone – the item I paid full price for is now on sale, so you guys can get it cheaper than I did. 🙂

The first item is the Sweet Tart Lovesick dress in the “b movie” print.  Sweet Tart is actually the name of a somewhat softer, less grungy line of clothing at DRBC.  It comes in various other prints, but this is the one that was on special for Woeful Wednesdays last week, and it was my fave anyway!  It gives you a good idea of the inventive apparel at DRBC.  I love that there’s a little embellishment of black flowers on the right strap, and the print is nicely done.  As usual, it comes in various mesh sizes, sure to fit any avatar.

DRBC Sweet Tart Love Sick b Movie 1

I’m also wearing some rather new boots from Death Row Designs – the Postapocalyptic Nerdstompers in Coal.  Jaimy Hancroft of DRD does great grunge boots – they always have various doo-dads and junk added to them to go with the theme.  These have various computer cords and wires wrapped around them – very cool.  They also come in several sizes to better fit your feet and legs.  They are available in several colors, this being the coal (black) color.  If you want to see them closer, just click to enlarge the photo below.

DRD Postapocalyptic Nerdstompers Coal

Here’s my obligatory closeup to better show my purty, gothy skin, and the detail on the bodice of the dress.

DRBC Sweet Tart Lovesick b Movie 2

So, my skin is a new group gift from Essences called Emma.  It’s nice and dramatic, and the group was free to join when I did a few days ago.  My hair is from Loq, the Bacardi hair that is available at The Dressing Room Fusion – you get a fatpack with lots and lots of colors for only L$70.  A bargain!  My raven necklace is another item at TDR Fusion, this time from [glow] studio.  I have a serious real life fascination with crows, so I have an inventory full of raven and crow themed items in SL.  I had to add this necklace to the collection, and the price was certainly right!  Don’t you just love TDR?  Such great designers, and such great prices.  I hope they never stop!

Well, I’m realizing now that this post is pretty long already, and I still have another DRBC outfit to show you!  So, I’m gonna make this part one, and do a separate post on the second outfit.  So, until just a little later,

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!

+++Blue Blood+++ New Release – Adele – Traditional Gothic Splendor

0

Blue Blood’s latest release is a return to a more traditional gothic gown/lolita dress.  At least that’s what I think.  In any case, I absolutely adore the new outfit, Adele.  As usual, you get more options than you can shake a stick at.  Here’s the black version, showing a few of the options.

I love that herringbone pattern on the skirt and corset.  How much work that must have taken Ghani to get so perfect!  Coz it is damn-near perfect, and that is *very* difficult to do with a pattern such as this.  As you can see, you get a corset, a jacket, stockings, a lolita skirt, a gown skirt, and two types of sculpted sleeves – upper and lower.  You can mix and match everything to get the look you like.  Here are some more options.

You can wear the corset alone with either skirt, or the corset and the jacket with sleeve sculpts with either one.  But no, that’s not all the options!  Take a look at the lovely red version.

Yep, you can even wear the corset alone with just the glitch pants for a cute, casual lingerie outfit.  Do yourself a favor and click on that pic above to see the pattern on those skirts up close.  It is simply gorgeous!  Did you notice the little red rose on the stockings?  Yep, Ghani could have made all the stockings plain black for all the colors, but no, she customized each one!  Here’s the purple version, showing some of the options.

As I was taking pictures, I found another option – wearing the short corset (you get a full length corset and a shorter corset as well) with the lolita skirt.  Definitely a more casual look, no?  Here’s the lovely pink (hot pink, of course).

Click on the pic to see those panties in the pink version.  Here’s another option I discovered while taking the pics.  You get not only a pair of glitch pants, but also the sweet lace-edged panties.  That’s even cuter when worn with just the short corset.  Ok, one more color – teal (or green, if you prefer).

I remembered the panties for this set. I should have shown you the back side – the panties show your butt cheeks in the back a bit – very cute.  I’m wearing Favole’s lucky chair necklace in most of the pics here.  It’s a very nice necklace with well-done textures.  You want this for your gothy outfits, trust me. 🙂  The earrings are a newer release from Virtual/Insanity – the Morbid Extravaganza earrings.  The little bracelet with attached ring is also a new release from Virtual/Insanity.  The black and white set of this bracelet is a donation item for the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser.  Well, get yourselves over to Blue Blood and grab these gorgeous dresses.  Adele is definitely one of my favorites of Ghani’s latest releases.  I can’t wait to see what she does with the whitegoth colors!

Happy hunting, gathering, shopping, etc. *mwah*!
