Nomine – New “Jailbait” Dresses

Hey, y’all.  I’m back at work again, and to be honest, I’m exhausted.  I was so tired yesterday that I didn’t have the energy to even log in.  But I took some nice pics of one of Munch’s new dresses from her Jailbait collection on Sunday night, and even though I had planned to show all of the different dresses to you at once, I figured I’d better post this one for now coz I’m not sure when I’ll finish them all!

So, apparently “lolita” is a no-no word in SL – at least for the powers-that-be.  You and I know that “lolita” in an item’s description rarely has anything to do with pedophilia of any kind.  No.  It’s a fashion style ffs.  But, in order to bypass the LL censors, Munch decided to call this collection “Jailbait.” sigh.

And in any case, this particular dress is not even a lolita dress.  Nor is it something a piece of “jailbait” would wear. lol  But, I digress, I guess.  This dress is nothing short of awesome.  It is just goth, dammit, and sexy goth, too, without showing much skin.  I love it!  I don’t know what possessed me to put on this new Redmint hair with this dress, but I fell in love with the look afterward.  So, there you go.  The little knit hat with the pompoms dangling just “made” this look for me.  The dress actually comes with a color-change rose headband.  It looked really silly on top of this knit hat, though.  😛  Man, I must still be tired coz this is not my usual blog “banter.”  lol  So, I’ll shut up and show you a few more pics.

Look at the cool strappy things – I think they’re the corset laces or maybe they’re bondage straps – hanging down the back of the skirt.  I love corset lacings, don’t you?  And buckles (or D rings, whatever you want to call them)! Yep, there are buckles, too!  Here’s an obligatory (at least for me lol) closeup.

Damn, I love my avatar!  This is def one of my new fave photos of her.  That Atomic skin certainly doesn’t hurt. lol  Just gorgeous skin.  I’ve enhanced it a bit with some Adore & Abhor eyeliner – a nice heavy black, of course!   I’m also wearing another version of the ni.ju facial piercing available at Perfect Wardrobe, along with a pretty necklace from Earthstones, surprisingly affordable (finally!) at Collabor88.  If you haven’t gotten it yet, better hurry over coz it’ll probably be gone very soon.  And, yes, again I’m wearing the amazing +:+WTG+:+ nails/jewelry that are made of pure awesomeness, covered in a delightful awesome sauce.  What primwork!  I drool over these every time I look at them!

Dilly Dolls – Davinia V2 – Mesh!

The formerly sculpted Davinia gown by Dilly Dolls is now available in mesh.  Does it fit better? Of course it does!  It hugs your body like it’s painted on.  Well, it kinda *is* painted on coz this is SL and not RL. lol  But anyway, it’s pretty damned cool!

The dress consists of three pieces – the “petal” bra, the corset, and the skirt.  Each part is color changeable via the included HUD.  New to the mesh version is that the corset eyes and laces on the back of the corset are also color change via the HUD.  It comes with five different sizes to match the SL standard sizes, but if you can’t edit your shape, get the demo before purchasing!  I had to lower my boob buoyancy to get the bra to fit properly.  Luckily, my shape is mod.   My favorite thing about mesh is watching how it moves with my avatar.  You can get some pretty wild stretching of the gown in certain poses, but at least one’s legs don’t come poking through now!

As you can see, all of the colors are very bright (and shiny) and the HUD is extremely easy to use – it’s basically idiot-proof (thanks, Oriana!)  Oriana promises that more mesh is to come.  I can’t wait to see what she comes up with!

RedMint – Sexy Drawup Tops

I wanted to show you some sexy tops Redmint released recently.  They are fully sculpted and come with no system layers, but they fit me like a dream – absolutely no resizing was necessary.  I just had to raise them up a little.  Love at first wear!

They come in three styles and many, many colors.  You can choose from no straps, both straps, or one strap hanging down like I’m wearing above.  I’m also wearing the Atomic TDR Blue skin I wore yesterday coz I’m a long-time fan of Atomic skins.  My hair is a new release from Exile, also for TDR Blue.  The pants are a still-new release from Dilly Dolls, and the boots are not new, but still made of awesomeness, from Death Row Designs.

I am full of holes tonight lol.  My facial piercings are from ni.ju (the nose and undereye piercing) and LouLou&C0 (the lip piercings).  You’ve seen me wear the lip piercings before.  I just love this style with the little crosses.  The nose/cheek piercings are new from ni.ju for the Perfect Wardrobe.  You get four styles in the pack – each represents an element, like water, fire, earth, wind.  This one is wind, by the way.  Of course my amazing rings/nails are from +:+WTG+:+ – blogged yesterday and still amazing.  Check them out!  I’m actually wearing even more holes in my poor avi body.  Check out my back.

These are Haus of Darcy’s Mess of Metal Part 2 piercings which are available right now for Horror Haute.  You get the spine and tailbone piercings for both male and female shapes, plus the tattoo layer bruises.  Ouch!   Here are a few more colors of the Drawup Tops.

More from Rotten Defiance – Elemental Dresses

Yep, I have more from Rotten Defiance to show you.  This time I want to show you the dress Rogue did for Perfect Wardrobe.  The theme of this week’s session is “Elements” and Rogue named the dress “Elemental.”

Elemental is a sexy, ultra short minidress that really hugs and emphasizes your bosom.  As you can see, the dress also features an oversized collar, reminiscent of a posture collar.  It gives it a certain edge, dontchathink?  🙂  The colors are called fire (worn above), darkness, earth, mineral, water,  and charcoal.  Above, I’m also wearing the lovely new Boudoir Mules from Lassitude & Ennui, rather new hair from Shag, and new skin from Atomic.  Oh, I can’t forget the awesome nails/rings from +:+WTG+:+.  They’ve been blogged quite a bit already, but omg – they totally should be blogged by everyone.  They’re so cool.  They come with a HUD to change the nail color; you can even change the nails to all one color or two alternating colors.  I did an alternating red and textured black.  Mmmm love them!  Ok, here are the other five colors of Elemental from Rotten Defiance, along with other colors of the Lassitude & Ennui mules.  I think I managed to use every color of them, except black.

( R e d )Mint Leather Dresses

I’ll just have to do two posts on (r e d) mint because just as I was preparing this post about the sexy leather mini dresses that they released recently, in came a notice about a newer release.  I’ll show you the sexy raised shirts next time.  These leather dresses have no “va jay jay” prim, but they still manage to cover the essentials.

The Leather Dress comes with the two options you see here – with and without the stockings.  Now, if your skin is not shaved in the pubic area, you’re gonna want to find one that is to wear with these dresses.  Can’t imagine how tacky bad that would look!  Also, some skins are a bit pink *there* and those wouldn’t look good with this dress either.  But happily, my brand new Atomic Lien skin, a special edition for the Chic Event, gave me no worries at all.  I really love Lien and I especially like that I look nothing like the ads for the skins when I wear them.  This is a skin that let’s you be “you.”  The Chic Event Lien skin is only available in this palest tone, but comes with and without the pink lipstick.  The Symphony piercings are more new items from Haus of Darcy (HoD).  These also come with a tattoo layer makeup, which I didn’t wear so that you could see the Lien skin better.  The boots are from DECO – these were the Fifty Linden Friday item (along with a bubblegum pink pair).  DECO usually leaves the FLF items up over the weekend, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they were still available.  Here’s another shot that shows the boots better.

They’re so chunky!  So easy to fit, too.  Oh, the bangles and finger tape are from .:BND:.  I picked those up ultra cheap (or maybe even free) when I was doing the Black Butler Hunt.  Ok.  Here are some of the other colors of  (r e d) mint’s Leather Dress.

Indigo Oddities – Poster Child

Indigo Oddities is a fairly new store that I’ve been keeping my eye on.  The designs are fresh, and the execution, while not yet top-notch, are continually improving.  Add to that two lucky boards, a Midnight Mania board, and very fair prices, and there are outfits there to interest any thrifty gothling.  Case in point – the latest Midnight Mania offering – Poster Child in purple.

It has buckles.  You know my penchant for buckles.  I had to have this.  Happily enough gothlings agreed with me and we were rewarded for our patience.  I liked it so much that I had to buy the red one.  At only L$100, I couldn’t resist.  It comes with a choice of strappy tops – black or in the color to match the outfit.  I was so happy with the look that appeared when I chose “wear” on the folder that I didn’t even notice that there was another option when I took the pics of the purple. lol  But when I put on the red, voila.  So, this time I’ll show you the red and the black strappy “tops.”

The yummy, yummy boots are the biggest steal of the week – Fatal Error has everything on sale for L$10, including these overknee color change boots.  So, basically that’s like a gazillion pairs of boots for L$10.  I didn’t count how many colors, but it’s *a lot*.  I had no trouble matching the boots perfectly to these two colors of Poster Child.  Fatal Error has lots more really nice stuff, all for L$10, so *run* over there before the owner comes to her senses and puts the prices back up!  The awesome makeup is *new* from Blue Blood.  Can’t you just see Ghani’s signature all over it?  This one is called Phoenix and you get several colors in the pack.  I’ll show you more of the makeups she released (two more types – Dotty and Dolly) soon.  But until next time…

Better Late than Never?

I wanted to post this yesterday for Friday the 13th.  I thought it would be “cute.”  Well, here it is anyway.  I’m constantly apologizing on this blog these days, so I won’t do that anymore.  We all have real lives, so there should really be no reason to apologize, right? 😀

See? I’m a black cat – don’t cross my path! ;P  This is Reaction by Lovecats, my favorite neko/punk shop.  I don’t give a flying f*ck if neko is passé.  I still like to gaze at a pretty furry tail as my avi walks around.  Doesn’t it suck that we always see our avi’s from behind when we’re walking?  Well, a furry tail adds an interesting visual twist.  Reaction doesn’t come with the ears and tail, though.  These are as “old as the hills” from Sn@tch.  They’re goth, though, so they’re still my favorite set.  The outfit does come with the boomers that leave rainbow kitty tracks as you walk.  😀  And it comes with the choker/necklace, too.  And really, if you like to dress neko sometimes, you probably have at least 20 sets  of tails and ears anyway, right? As soon as I saw that open jacket with the straps, I knew I had to have this outfit.  You know how much I love strappy outfits!  And as I said in my last post on LoveCats, the outfits there are very well made and well-textured.  If you want the best in neko or punk wear, add their LM to your favorites.  Man, looking at my pic there, it just occurred to me that those black claw prim nails from U&R Dogs would have been just perfect for this outfit!  Don’t you hate when that happens? Dilly Dolls – Sculpted Corsets

Oriana released these really pretty sculpted corsets recently.  The white version is a limited edition for the Carnival Sinistre, which ends Saturday (tomorrow).  Take a look at how cute it is.

The corset comes in two versions (this is V2).  The version not shown has solid white sides instead of the patterned sides all over.  The back features sculpted lace ups.  The corset comes with an alpha layer to cover your bewbs and torso so that the corset won’t disappear into your body.  Beware, however, you will need some editing skills – prim editing and shape editing – to get this corset to fit properly.  I had to make my bewbs smaller and less “buoyant” to achieve this look.  Also, you really need a special AO if you wear sculpted clothing like this.  Oriana announced that there is one at the Dilly Dolls mainstore for those looking for one.  I love these corsets, even with all the trouble to fit them properly.  They’re so pretty – the textures are just perfect.

What am I wearing with the corset?  The hair is by ploom – the same Tweedle style that I blogged last time.  I just love this hair!  The necklace is by League – the Raven (also blogged earlier, but maybe now you can see it better).  The skin is the group gift from Atomic – the new Lien skin.  Gorgeous!!  The starry tats are from Para Designs and are a hunt prize.  The cute rolled up jeans and the awesome digilegs with add-on ropes are from Epic.  The jeans are on special at the Depraved Deals HQ on Depraved Nation.  The lip piercings are new from LouLou&Co – Lucky Cross.  The piercing comes with lots of other styles as well.  The bracelets are also from LouLou&Co, but are not new.

If you love the corset and want more colors, you’re in luck.  There’s a black version that is a group gift for Dilly Dolls inworld group, and there’s 8 more colors that you can purchase.  You actually just get the two corsets (V1 and V2) and two HUDs to change the colors.

Even the HUD is pretty!  As you can see, you can change the whole corset’s color, just the corset’s, or just the laces’.  I haven’t shown you what the laces look like, but the HUD shows them really well.  So, this is V1 with the solid colored sides in pink.  Look how it matches the lipstick on the Atomic skin!  Yummy!  Here are all the other colors, but in V2.

I just love Dilly Dolls’ color palette!  Such vibrant, jewel-toned, crayola colors!  Well, I had fun playing matchy-matchy with the ploom hair’s streaks.  I’m sorry I haven’t been able to post these sooner, but the end of the school year is seriously making me exhausted.  Plus my desktop’s internet connection has been patchy at best.  So, it’s a miracle I’m even doing this now. 🙂  In any case, until next time…

Carnival Sinistre Ends Soon!

I’ve been meaning to blog these fantastic outfits I picked up at the Guild of Gloom’s Carnival Sinistre, benefitting the Sophie Lancaster Foundation.  If you love goth and alternative stuff, you just can’t miss this event.  It ends on May 14, so time is running out.  Here are just a few of the things I picked up at the Carnival.

This is from Bubble, and while it’s not the charity item, I had to have it.  It’s similar to the item Bubble created for one of the Japanese fundraisers, but this one is zombified with *brains* on the caged skirt.  😀  The hair is new from ploom – love it!  Helyanwe released three new styles a few days ago.  This is my favorite – Tweedle.  It’s a classic ploom style with the punkish side ponies.  I’m wearing Belleza’s recent group gift skin, Aiko.  Yes, that is Aiko. lol  I’ve “enhanced” it with makeup on the tattoo layer from Fallen Arts, available at the Carnival, called Doll Face.  Love it!

Likka*House has this dress – Patsy – which comes in two color combinations – Circus and Parade.  As you can see, you can wear it with the little skirt and stockings or with the long pants.  Each dress also comes with a matching hat and choker.  This dress is Likka*House’s donation item for the event.  And yes, I’m still wearing ploom’s Tweedle.

This one is from PunkD Out, called Carnivalee.  It comes with the boots and the hat (and the armwarmers, sleeve ruffles, choker, and skirt).  Cute, no?  The hair is another new style from ploom called Katey.  I love the little hairs that stick out on the sides.  You almost don’t need to wear elfie ears!  This style comes with chest attachment pieces so that your hair doesn’t sink into your chest.  Thanks, Hely!   I’m also wearing a different skin here.  This is a new skin from Iren, available for an excellent price at the Fashion Garrett, called Barbara.  I’ve enhanced it with another tattoo layer makeup from Fallen Arts called Tears 2.

This is Indigo Oddities’ charity item, Evil Evie.  It comes with the matching hat.  Here I’m wearing ploom’s Katey style, but this time without the chest attachment piece.  You can see what a difference the chest attachment makes.  The necklace is from League.  I saw it during the Fifty Linden Friday sale recently and had to have it.   It’s a raven head!  You know my penchant for crows and ravens. 🙂

I’m almost finished with this long post that has taken me almost a week to photograph (coz my “fun” time is limited right now).  I have two more to show you, both from Hooligan.

This is the charity item, called Ringmaster.  It comes with those awesome spiky, red latex boots, the hat, the necklace, and the belt with neat attachments.  The hair is the third new style from ploom – Bonni.  It’s so punky!  Short side ponies, long dangling forelocks, and color change streaks.  Another winner from ploom!  The makeup enhancer I’m wearing here is a charity item at the Carnival from Squeek.  For a very reasonable price, you get this fun swirly eye makeup in several different colors.

This last outfit is also from Hooligan and is called Final Bow.  I don’t think it’s a charity item, but I liked it, so I bought it. 🙂  It comes with the necklace (the same one as the Ringmaster outfit), the really cool cuffs with strapped rings, and the boots!  The Black Mamacita earrings from Ripe completed the “look” nicely.  I wish I could remember where I picked up the earrings, but they also came as a set with a necklace.   This hair – Army of Me – is from Shag and is available as a limited edition available at the Culture Shock event.  It’s pretty much a unisex style and comes with a men’s version as well.  I wish I had shown you the back coz it’s shaved, so you have to wear a hairbase with it (unless you want to look really bizarre – not that there’s anything wrong with that).  And the skin is new from ATOMIC!  Hooray!  Ivy Graves has finally made new skins!  Look at that eye makeup – love it!  I’m not wearing any “enhancements” with this skin, other than an Amacci hairbase.  This skin is *gorgeous*!  There’s also a new Atomic group gift – another Lien skin in a different makeup.  The group is closed to new members during the duration, though.  Boy, am I glad I waited and didn’t leave the group!

Wretched Dollies – Dainty Twiddle 2010

Star Fairymeadow of Wretched Dollies has released a lovely new gothic lolita dress that I just had to show you.  Our goth designers are really on a roll creating beautiful, traditional EGL dresses.  I really can’t decide what to wear these days – too many choices!  I usually just end up changing several times a day when I’m inworld for an extended period. lol  But… hush, Des, and show us the dress!  Yes, ma’am (or sir lol).

I confess.. I didn’t change my makeup from my last post, but hey, it still works, I think.  The Dainty Twiddle dress comes with the mini top hat with netting and the lovely collar with the cameo embellishment.  I love the back of the dress with the dramatic white lace and bow against the deep black dress with the black net and lace underskirt.  I’m wearing another fantastic goth hair from ploom.  The little bows are color change via HUD.  The shoes are Dilly Dolls’ Bows and Ribbons Dolly Pumps – the original version.  Oriana plans to update these like she did with the Buckled Dolly Pumps in the near future.  For now, I think these work just perfectly.  It’s sometimes difficult to find a black dolly pump that’s dark and shiny enough for me.  Dilly Dolls never disappoints.  So, if you’re looking for a classic gothic lolita dress, pop on over to Wretched Dollies.  While you’re there, stalk the Lucky Chair and maybe even take a walk outside.  As I’ve mentioned before, Wretched Hollow is one of my favorite places. 🙂
