Happy Bunny Day!

A quick post on this lovely Easter Sunday from Little Kat.  She wanted to show off her new limited edition skin from [A]Limited, the group gift from Katat0nik, her new boots from Dilly Dolls, and her pretty necklace from Lolapop, so here she is!

She found a *very* colorful spot at A Touch of Ireland, and I couldn’t resist snapping a few pictures.  She also insisted that I add some glitter text to wish you a Happy Easter, even though, as you’ll see there are more photos that do that without any help from Fotoflexer.

She took this photo at a lovers’ dance spot, but I wouldn’t let her stay coz she was really too young to be there.  She insisted on taking this pic with the glowing holiday greeting, though.  I wish you could see better how the sign’s shadow spells “Happy Easter” in reverse on the ground. 🙂  Here, you can get a better view of the Ice Cream boots from Dilly Dolls.  Oriana aptly named these, I think.  They come in the prettiest sherbert-like colors.  They’re color changeable (all parts – laces with bow, soles, main boot) via an easy to see/read HUD).  They also come in floral patterned textures in every color, too.  They’re just the perfect little Easter/Springtime boot!

I just love these new limited edition Harajuku makeups from the collaboration of Tyr Rozenblum and Ivy Graves (of Aura and Atomic, respectively).  There will only be 500 sold, so if you like, you’d better run to grab them.  There are three different makeups and they come in skintones ranging from the lightest one shown here to dark tan.  Each pack also comes with two lipsticks – the harajuku one and a barer one.  I had to get these skins for Little Kat coz she’s my little doll, isn’t she?  [A] Limited also has some cute, limited edition hoodies, tees, and bags on sale.  Kat’s necklace is new from Lolapop – the La Demonia necklace, which comes in many bright colors.  Her hair is not new; it’s from the wonderful Sadistic Hacker, who makes the best anime inspired hair in SL, imho.

Oriana Kuhr’s homage to Emilie Autumn, the Emilie outfit, now is available with an all-new mesh corset.  This is the third edition of the venerable Emilie outfit – first it was all hand-painted on the system layers.  Then Oriana did a sculpted version, which had its limitations, but now the mesh version is just perfection.  In case you didn’t know, Dilly Dolls’ Emilie outfit is one of my all-time favorite outfits.  So, I hope you enjoy taking a look at all the beautiful colors it comes in.

Yep, there’s two, two, two avatars in one!  That’s moi, Desiree, and my little kid sis, Kat, both wearing Emilie.  Kat is in the group gift color – Mint, while I’m wearing the pink version (not free).  Kat says she loves the Emilie outfit, too, especially the stripey leggings in two patterns.  I’m wearing the Shrew Zipped boots from Dilly Dolls, while Kat is wearing Dilly Dolls’ Pansa boots.  Both come in colors to match the Dilly Dolls palette, simply by clicking the boots (for the Pansa boots) or the HUD (for the Shrew boots, which are a newer style).  The Emilie outfit also comes with feathered hats and little broken heart pendants that match each color of the dress.  You also get the black wrist cuffs.  Such a yummy outfit!

Kat insisted that we do a closeup together coz she said I’m always hogging the blog (excuse me, Kat, but it’s *my* blog!) with my “big, fat face.”  Wow.  Jealous much?  So, here, Sis, are you happy now!?  Sorry for venting a little sibling rivalry, but yeah, here’s a closeup of the two of us.  I’m wearing the new Redmint skin, which comes with lots of rainbow colored eyeshadows, as well as this one that I really liked that has a more haunted look to it.  I like how the pink around the inside eye corners matched the deep pink of the dress.  Kat, as usual, is wearing her Pink Fuel skin, Elly.  It is so very much “her” that I doubt she’ll venture to another skin any time soon.  That is, unless Pink Fuel releases a new fresh faced skin (or Mynerva ever comes back to creating skins!)  Des is wearing a newish hairstyle from Magika called Dare – mesh, of course, while Kat is wearing Wasabi Pills’ Monique mesh hair.  I love the little braid down the front which is perfect for Kat’s more girlish look.

Okay, enough of us, let’s see more of *me*! (lol)  No, seriously, Des gets the review copies – Little Kat not so much (lol) so here are the rest of the colors of the Emilie dress.

The formerly sculpted Davinia gown by Dilly Dolls is now available in mesh.  Does it fit better? Of course it does!  It hugs your body like it’s painted on.  Well, it kinda *is* painted on coz this is SL and not RL. lol  But anyway, it’s pretty damned cool!

The dress consists of three pieces – the “petal” bra, the corset, and the skirt.  Each part is color changeable via the included HUD.  New to the mesh version is that the corset eyes and laces on the back of the corset are also color change via the HUD.  It comes with five different sizes to match the SL standard sizes, but if you can’t edit your shape, get the demo before purchasing!  I had to lower my boob buoyancy to get the bra to fit properly.  Luckily, my shape is mod.   My favorite thing about mesh is watching how it moves with my avatar.  You can get some pretty wild stretching of the gown in certain poses, but at least one’s legs don’t come poking through now!

As you can see, all of the colors are very bright (and shiny) and the HUD is extremely easy to use – it’s basically idiot-proof (thanks, Oriana!)  Oriana promises that more mesh is to come.  I can’t wait to see what she comes up with!

RedMint – Sexy Drawup Tops

I wanted to show you some sexy tops Redmint released recently.  They are fully sculpted and come with no system layers, but they fit me like a dream – absolutely no resizing was necessary.  I just had to raise them up a little.  Love at first wear!

They come in three styles and many, many colors.  You can choose from no straps, both straps, or one strap hanging down like I’m wearing above.  I’m also wearing the Atomic TDR Blue skin I wore yesterday coz I’m a long-time fan of Atomic skins.  My hair is a new release from Exile, also for TDR Blue.  The pants are a still-new release from Dilly Dolls, and the boots are not new, but still made of awesomeness, from Death Row Designs.

I am full of holes tonight lol.  My facial piercings are from ni.ju (the nose and undereye piercing) and LouLou&C0 (the lip piercings).  You’ve seen me wear the lip piercings before.  I just love this style with the little crosses.  The nose/cheek piercings are new from ni.ju for the Perfect Wardrobe.  You get four styles in the pack – each represents an element, like water, fire, earth, wind.  This one is wind, by the way.  Of course my amazing rings/nails are from +:+WTG+:+ – blogged yesterday and still amazing.  Check them out!  I’m actually wearing even more holes in my poor avi body.  Check out my back.

These are Haus of Darcy’s Mess of Metal Part 2 piercings which are available right now for Horror Haute.  You get the spine and tailbone piercings for both male and female shapes, plus the tattoo layer bruises.  Ouch!   Here are a few more colors of the Drawup Tops.

Dilly Dolls and Haus of Darcy – of wicked piercings, colorful undies, and fainting couches

So, Oriana of Dilly Dolls is back!  She’s been away for far too long, dealing with RL (as we all must from time to time).  And she hasn’t returned empty-handed, either.  She has several new releases – wedge-heeled dolly shoes, colorful undies, cute jeans, and a fainting couch that changes colors!

(Look – shadows!  lol).  This is the aforementioned fainting couch which is scripted to change into a myriad of colors – both the pillow and the couch cushion itself.  It comes with seven cute poses and is very easy to use.  The Nessa jeans come in either black or white with colorful hearts.  I’m wearing the light jeans with blue hearts above.  The colorful undies are called Renna’s Weeklys and come in seven different color combinations.  These are Thursday’s.  The new shoes are called the Espy Wedges, worn here in pink.  There are also some  free Espy Wedges available in the Tainted Love Hunt in black with red hearts.

I”m also wearing the same Redmint hairstyle I wore in my last post, this time in the lovely Pale/Pink combination.  The skin is ploom’s Leah in the Milk tone with the “Mwah!” makeup.  It’s available at the Zombie Popcorn Store until February 18.  I love the red eyeshadow!  Here, have a closer look.  I’ve gone a bit darker with this one.

I changed my Redmint haircolor to Black/Cashmere Red, and added some hot piercings from Haus of Darcy.  These wicked things are called Mess of Metal and include all three parts – face, chest, and belly.  They come in 8 different metal colors, such as the red shown above (called “Seep”).  Not worn is the makeup tattoo created by Kosh that comes with the piercings.  I love the tattoo, but this outfit was a bit too bright to pull off the gaunt and wasted look. lol

Hunt Goodies Galore

So, I thought I’d do a freebie post for you guys.  There are so many hunts going on right now, and more will be starting very soon.  Today I’ll show you some goodies from the Jerky Turkey Hunt and the Diamond is Mine Hunt 3.

This pretty dress is from the Jerky Turkey Hunt, which runs from November 15 to December 15, and starts here.  This dress is the hunt prize from Eat Paste, along with the pretty “Stuffing” skin I’m wearing.  The stilettos with legwarmers are the hunt prize from Moxie and the candy corn tongue is the hunt prize from Epic.  I’m also wearing two necklaces that are hunt prizes from B!asta and Top Katz.  The hair is not from the hunt, it’s gorgeous RedMint hair – love this color! – that was recently on sale as part of the “everything 50% off sale.”  I’m not sure, but the sale is probably over.  Sorry, guys!  I just can’t seem to find the time to blog everything as quickly as I should!  My earrings are also not a hunt gift – they’re the Umbrella Ella Ella earrings in black from Virtual/Insanity.   My hair is hiding them, but they’re really cute – little upside down umbrellas.  Finally, I’m wearing some cool claw nails, also from Virtual/Insanity – the Kitty Galore Sharp Claws.  I’m in love with these because I took just a bit of time to adjust them – the old fashioned way by editing the individual nails – and now they fit no matter what my hands do!  Oh, they’re color change into about 8 colors, too.

I had to take a back shot to show you these cute chibi wings from Epic, another Jerky Turkey Hunt prize from them.  You can see the umbrella earring better here, too.

The Diamond is Mine Hunt is in its third incarnation, and the hunt prizes are amazing as usual.

This pretty red dress is the hunt prize from Butterfly Effects.  I’ve paired it with a pretty necklace that magically appeared in my inventory from Phresh.  I’m not sure how I acquired it – it could’ve been from slapping a Midnight Mania, or it may be a DIMH gift.  In any case, it’s pretty, so I’m gonna wear it!  The silver bracelet is the November group gift from Dark Mouse, and the black cuff is from one of my favorite new sets, the Requiem set (comes with cuffs and collar) from Malfean Visions.  This set is on sale for this weekend for only L$60.  Goth chicks – you need this set!  The shoes are a recent release from Dilly Dolls – the Beatrix Heels.  They are color change into at least 8 different colors, all for one low price.  These were created for the Vintage Fair and may only be available there for the time being.  Take a tip, go to the Vintage Fair at a really weird time, like 2 a.m. SLT and there will be no lag.  (lol that’s what I did last night).  The skin is to die for – Illusory’s ubiquitous Paige skin in a makeup called Soft Touch.  I picked it up at the Collabor88 event, which is quickly becoming my favorite revolving sale event.  The face tattoo is the DIMH3 gift from White~Widow, and I’ve added some tattoo layer lipstick from the soon-to-be-closed forever Sorry, Asia.  Last, but not least, the fabulous hair is from ploom.  This is one of my favorite styles from Helyanwe’s recent releases and is called Natie.  I’ve said before, ploom has a haircolor to match just about anything you want.  I love that!  And it’s super easy to find the color you want and add streaks with the HUD.

Okay, one more set to show you from the DIMH3.  I feel bad only showing you this little bit because there are *tons* of great items in these hunts!  This pretty, pretty dress is from Leri Miles Designs.

Okay, so I admit, I got a little lazy with this pic; I didn’t really change much by way of my accessories.  But, hey, they matched so nicely, I didn’t need to.  I did change my hair of course – this is the latest release from Wasabi Pills – such a cute little wintry style with the attached scarf.  Now, you gotta love mesh for these kinds of things – look how perfect that hair stays!  The scarf is texture change as well with the included HUD.  As I said, I’m wearing the same skin, jewelry, and shoes.  I did change the color of the Dilly Dolls Beatrix pumps to match the dress, though.

+++Blue Blood+++ – Kitten

Hello, people.  Desiree here, finally.  Yes, I’ve been neglecting my blogging duties ever since I rezzed inworld as Kat for Gogo’s Newbie Challenge II (see previous post).  But, I’ll try to catch up a bit on Desiree’s backlog.  First up, Blue Blood released a new dress last week called Kitten.  It’s cute as a button with a little kitten on the skirt hem.

It’s a sculpted dress – the skirt, sleeves, collar, and glove cuffs.  It also comes with an alpha layer for your lower torso in case your AO is bendy.  The cute dotted undersleeves and tights are also part of the outfit.  Of course, Ghani has included little texturing gems, like semi-transparent edging on the skirt, glove cuffs, and collar.  How about the boots?!  I saw that Bax Coen had some new booties, so I had to go and splurge.  Well, I grabbed *one* pair anyway.  Expensive boots!  But so very nice.  I love these black and silver ones and they happened to go perfectly with the Kitten dress in black.  I’m also wearing some jewelry from Virtual/Insanity – the Heavy Cross Hand Jewelry.  It includes three versions for each hand in three sizes.  The choker is also part of the set – the Heavy Cross Leather Choker.  The hair is a brand new release from Wasabi Pills.  It comes with a HUD to change the hair ties – both the stars and the bands.  I’m wearing earrings from Ripe that are part of the Beautiful Macabre set.  Those are some of my favorite cute gothic jewelry, and I was lucky enough to pick them up on sale around Halloween.  Finally, as everyone knows by now, Sorry Asia is closing and all skins are on sale for L$100 (L$500/fatpack).  This is Lana in Tone 1, worn with the add-on blush and lipstick makeups (purchased separately for L$80 for the fatpack).  To make the “look” more goth, however, I added another tattoo layer makeup – Nomine’s Papillon Makeup, Goth Tears.

Well, there are four more colors of Kitten, but I’ll show you one more – the bright red.

This time, I’m wearing skin from Matrioska (that’s Blue Blood’s new skin line) called Yummy Skin, but I’ve kept on Nomine’s tattoo layer makeup coz I just love smeared, runny mascara. 😀  The cute little cherry nommies and the sexy heels are from Dilly Dolls.  The cherries are a freebie, and the Judy Cherry Heels are a new release for the Vintage Fair.  The heels are color change into about 8 different colors; the cherries are separately color-changeable, too.  Here’s a close up of the pretty shoooz.

Dilly Dolls’ Astrid

Oriana is back!  Finally, she’s surfaced from her RL to bring us new creations from Dilly Dolls!  True to form, her first new releases are some cutie patootie bargains for Free Style’s 4th Birthday Bash, a/k/a the 4.44.444 Event.  For only L$44 you can get the new Astrid dress in a bunch of light or dark colors (that’s all the dark dresses for one price, and all the light dresses for one price, not L$44 each color!).  I won’t show you all the different colors, just the dark red version, which I fell in love with when I threw this look together.

I feel like some kind of retro hipster, and I just don’t want to undress!  So, what else am I wearing besides the Astrid dress?  I’m wearing some precious glasses from haut monde, a purty red and silver bracelet (previously blogged) from JD Designs, and a cute black and red necklace (sorry, the red is hidden by my hair) with stars from Lolapop.  All of these items are available at the Free Style event for either L$4 or L$44.  The vibrant red hair is a new release from RedMint, which released three new styles last week.  Love the colors!  The skin is another L$50 bargain from [VoiD], which has many, many older skins on sale for that price until the end of the month.  After that, they will go to the Marketplace at full price.  The shoes and the right bracelet are from GField and Haus of Darcy, respectively, and I blogged them recently.

Catching up with Dilly Dolls

Egads!  I’ll never catch up… or will I?  Heh heh.  Two posts in one day will definitely help.  So, Dilly Dolls released the cute little Bennie dress a few weeks ago (wow!  that’s a long time by SL time).  But I love the dress, so I am hell-bent on showing it to you.

It’s really a simple little dress – just a jacket layer, a pants layer, a skirt, and prim bow – but Ori’s shading and color palette make it blog-worthy.  Not to mention that the Dilly Dolls Cura Pumps matchy-matchy them perfectly.  Sorry, I guess it’s not haute couture to be so color-coordinated, but my Mama taught me that everything should match. lol    The necklace I’m wearing is a fairly recent release from Lolapop!  It’s the La Muerta Necklace, which features a color change jewel.  Guess what?  The jewels matched perfectly with the dresses and shoes!  I’m in matchy-matchy heaven!  lol   La Muerta comes with earrings, too, but they weren’t showing up with my big hair or against the white background, so I switched them out for Dark Mouse’s June Group Gift – the Diamond Overload Earrings.  Ms. Mouse is so faithful to her group, giving a new gift out each month – sometimes jewelry and sometimes hair.  The skin I’m wearing is once again my beloved Mynerva skin that I’ve blogged previously.  This time, I’ve added a new makeup tattoo from Nomine.  This one is called Goth Tears.

Bennie comes in the usual 8 colors of Dilly Dolls’ palette – Pink (shown above), Red, Brown, Grey, Teal, Green, Violet, and Blue.  Here are the rest of the colors for your viewing pleasure.  Mouse over the picture to see the colors, if you’re color-blind or something. 😛

That blue is so yummy!  I couldn’t decide whether to showcase the blue or the pink.  I also love Dilly Dolls’ brown even though brown is definitely *not* my favorite color usually.  Well, that’s abut it for now.  Until next time…

Catching up with Violent Seduction and Ploom

Yep, still trying to catch up.  I’ve had the lovely dresses I’m going to show you today for probably a month now and the beautiful skins from ploom for about two weeks now.  I’ve worn a few of the makeups in posts, but I wanted to show you all of them.  So, let’s get started!  Iki released a new dress called Maestro which features music symbol embellishments.  It’s a classic Violent Seduction style dress, which means that it is quintessentially Iki.

The dress comes with the sculpted collar with treble clef, as well as a sculpted bow and treble clef adornment on the dress; there are also sculpted sleeves which seamlessly blend into the dress.  You’ll forget you’re wearing sleeve prims!  This color is called “Love” and is definitely my favorite.  I love Violent Seduction’s shade of pink.  All the dresses are the same except for the color of the skirt.  I’ve paired up Maestro with different makeups from ploom’s Maia skins.  This makeup is called Cotton Candy.  The hair is a new release from Wasabi Pills called Yumi.  I’ll show you various shades of Yumi in the rest of this post.  The Cura Pumps are so cute – they’re another semi-new style from Dilly Dolls which were originally released at the Shoe Fair.  They’re now available at the Dilly Dolls mainstore.  The Cura Pumps come in three shades – light, medium, and dark, each with their own color palette.  They use Oriana’s  beautiful HUD to change the different parts independently.  The color palettes of Dilly Dolls and Violent Seduction are very different, so the shoes and the skirts never quite matched, but I think I still managed to make them work. 🙂  Here’s the Life (or lavender) shade of Maestro.

Here I’m wearing the Smoke makeup of ploom’s Maia skins.  This makeup really goes with just about anything; it’s very versatile.  Here are the other three colors of Maestro – Ice (blue), Ivory, and Fawn (brown).

Isn’t Maestro just the sweetest little dress?  You really need to see Iki’s ads for the dresses, too.  She looks adorable pairing a little beret with the dresses.  I’m wearing a different Maia makeup with each color of Maestro in this composite, so here’s a closeup of the makeups for you.   Click to see it full size, plz.

Oh, I had to add in a closeup of the lovely details on the skirt.  Everything is hand drawn to perfection – seriously, zoom in on that bodice with the covered buttons and lace.  The skirt also features lace details and a music motif with notes and treble clefs.  Check out the tops of the stockings, too, with the lace/ribbon.  Damn!  I wish I could draw like that!  But anywho, the makeups worn here are (left to right, top to bottom) Melon, Jungle, 14K, and Gloomy Day (which was a Project Themeory addition last weekend).

Well, that’s it for now.  I have hunting to do!  I started a fantastic hunt last night and am almost finished.  I’ll be showing you some amazing free stuff from that hunt next.  Which hunt is it?  There are so many hunts going on, it could be a number of hunts.  But which one is it?  Hee hee… you’ll just have to “stay tuned.”
