Dilly Dolls’ Astrid

Oriana is back!  Finally, she’s surfaced from her RL to bring us new creations from Dilly Dolls!  True to form, her first new releases are some cutie patootie bargains for Free Style’s 4th Birthday Bash, a/k/a the 4.44.444 Event.  For only L$44 you can get the new Astrid dress in a bunch of light or dark colors (that’s all the dark dresses for one price, and all the light dresses for one price, not L$44 each color!).  I won’t show you all the different colors, just the dark red version, which I fell in love with when I threw this look together.

I feel like some kind of retro hipster, and I just don’t want to undress!  So, what else am I wearing besides the Astrid dress?  I’m wearing some precious glasses from haut monde, a purty red and silver bracelet (previously blogged) from JD Designs, and a cute black and red necklace (sorry, the red is hidden by my hair) with stars from Lolapop.  All of these items are available at the Free Style event for either L$4 or L$44.  The vibrant red hair is a new release from RedMint, which released three new styles last week.  Love the colors!  The skin is another L$50 bargain from [VoiD], which has many, many older skins on sale for that price until the end of the month.  After that, they will go to the Marketplace at full price.  The shoes and the right bracelet are from GField and Haus of Darcy, respectively, and I blogged them recently.

Ms. Benelli releases new Weird Designs and Des Does the 4.44.444 Event

Hey, y’all.  Today’s post is about, yep, Weird Designs’ latest releases.  I’ve always been a fan of Sheena Benelli’s work, and I’ve missed her during the months she was inactive.  But, hey, we all know that sometimes SL is just not at the top of  one’s “to do list.”  Especially when RL is making us nuts enough without the added pressure of virtual obligations, right?  But, at any rate, she’s back inworld and has released three new outfits, including a new one for the Lucky Chairs!  I’m here to bring you a look-see.

This is Bite Me in Black and Blue.  The Bite Me dress comes in four colors (all of which I’ll show you, so settle back with a nice latte), and two skirt styles, as shown above.  It also comes with leggings as well as the stockings I’m wearing here, in case you don’t want to look so sexah when you’re wearing the short skirt.   Each dress is available for L$300.  What else am I wearing?  Well, I’m  using the Firestorm Mesh Beta viewer, so that I can show you the new mesh hair release from Wasabi Pills – Sebastianne.  It’s a long, center-parted, Morticia style “do” that would work with any look.  It comes with an alpha layer to hide the back of your avi’s head since the hair itself is no mod, like most mesh products.   The shoes are the latest release (I think they’re the latest) from G Field, which makes such nice, versatile, yet reasonably priced shoes.  The shoes have five styles for the straps – crossed, T-style, single or double lateral strap, or no strap at all.  The sole also has several color options – such as black, grey, red.  The jewelry I’m wearing consists of items I picked up at the Free Style Birthday event (4.44.444) being held on the Lloyd sim.  When I went mid-week, there was hardly anyone there, so I was able to shop lag-free.  Booyah!  The necklace and earring set is from Ripe, which has several colors available for only L$44 each.  The lip piercing is from ni.ju and was also only L$44.  Actually, it *might* have been only L$4.  Honestly, most things I saw there that I liked were L$44.  A few items were L$4, and I saw very few items priced at L$444.  The skin I’m wearing is again from [VoiD], another one I picked up during the L$50 skin retirement sale.  I’ve added makeup (lips/eyes) from Mock called Ginger Chocolate Makeover that I picked up at the Freestyle event.  So pretty!  Okie dokie, on to more things!

I had planned to use Wasabi Pills’ hair with all of the colors of Bite Me, but then the Mesh viewer was refusing to load my inventory, and Fifty Linden Friday arrived, and Clawtooth had this very seasonal witchy hair called “You’re a Witchy Star.”  The hat is color-change, too.  It was available in either Dusty Black or Blinding White for L$50 each.  I wouldn’t be surprised if Bubbles keeps them up for the remainder of the weekend.  I am again wearing the new pumps from G Field – the red versions, just to show you a different color.  (I know black would have looked better.)  And the necklace and earrings are the red version of Ripe’s Calliope set from the 4.44.444 event.   Okay, I have two more colors of Bite Me to show you!

This is the Black and Silver version and with it I’m wearing Ripe’s silver version of the Calliope set.  This is my fave!  I’m a purty, classy witch!

And last up is the Black and Purple version of Bite Me.  Do you see that huge bat necklace?  Well, it comes with the dress!  Here, I’ve also added some lipstick from a huge lipgloss fatpack that Mock has at the 4.44.444 event, and HoD’s (Haus of Darcy’s) newest release – the Crosary bracelet.  The detail is incredible, as always, and it comes with several different versions in one folder – a variation of the doodads that dangle, basically.  The bracelet on my left hand is a freebie from Amorous, available on the Marketplace.  Finally, I added a different lip piercing – this one’s from ellabella called Precarious, and is available at 4.44.444.  It has a tiny little spider and comes with a color-changing HUD so you can go nuts with coloring different parts.

Before Bite Me came out, Sheena did another new outfit for her Lucky Chairs called Tease.   These dresses, as the name implies, are uber sexy.  Take a look.

Yummy!  Black lace bra, underbust corset, flirty little skirt, and ripped stockings.  Ooh la la!  Here I’m wearing another lipgloss from Mock over my [VoiD] skin, and I’ve removed the straps from my G Field pumps.  The hair is one I’ve blogged before, Wasabi Pills’ Mimi hair.

Are you still with me?  I hope so, coz I’ve saved my favorite for last!

It’s even sexier in red, I think.  I’ve added another skin I picked up for L$50 at [VoiD]’s retirement sale – this one is Songbird – Loved and has the cute little heart on the lips.  I also threw on a very nice bracelet I picked up at the 4.44.444 event from JD Designs (Inka red), and a necklace (that I know doesn’t really match, but shhhh!) from Lolapop called the El Bujo necklace – available at the 4.44.444 event.

Whew! That took me several days in the studio to take all these shots.  So hard to find the time to do it these days!  But, at any rate, voila.  Hope you enjoyed.  Until next time…

More Frick?! Frickin’ Aye!

First, I have to apologize to the wonderful designers who are waiting for me to blog their designs.  My last post was on Frick and this one is also on Frick.  These outfits aren’t new, so why am I devoting two blog posts to them?  Well, these are outfits that I’ve wanted for a long time because they are just so unique and beautiful, and now they are on sale.  That’s it.  As I’ve tried these on, I just can’t bear to take them off coz I’m so enamored with them.  So, in a way, this post is just for me. lol  Also, it’s taken me awhile to get to this second post on Frick because RL work has heated up lately and I’ve had to put my Second Life on the back burner a bit.  But, hey, don’t worry coz Spring Break is coming in just a few days and I’ll have lots of time to play!  (whoooot!)

I’m going to start with my favorite of all of Frick’s outfits  – Belle Époque – in an unusual color choice for me.  I was surprised by how much I ended up loving this one.  This was the last color of Belle Époque that I bought and I did it almost as an afterthought – an “oh, well, might as well get the whole set” kind of thing.  But oh my!  It’s radiant!

The fact that ploom’s hair streaking HUD includes a shade that is just perfect definitely helps, as does these metallic Sonata Boots from Dilly Dolls.  The matching skin from Frick in this lovely Sugar tone and the gorgeous golden eyes from Hoot (not a new item) just made me squeal with pleasure as this outfit just coalesced.  I added some radiant gold jewelry from U&R Dogs and I was done.  Here, I had to take more pictures.

Belle Époque comes in three additional colors, and I had to play with every one of them.

This is the Truffle version – an unusual combination of brown and pink, don’t you think?  I love the little details, like the key dangling from the belted corset, the matching key dangling from the choker, and the steampunk inspired cogs on the back at the waistline.  The outfits come with two skirts – this flirty little skirt that shows the sexy garters and stockings, as well as a ball gown skirt.  There are two bodice options – sleeveless and short sleeves with sculpted sleeves.  You can also wear the system pieces without the skirts for a sexy corset, panties, and garters look.  Frick also has a makeup set in several tones to match each dress.  I’m wearing the matching skin for each of the Belle Époque outfits here.

Here you can see the ball gown skirt and the lingerie only options.  Actually, Belle Époque in Dragonfly was the first to really catch my eye back when they were released for a Black Bacchanal event.  It’s such a dramatic teal and green.

So, yummy, no?  Finally, there’s the Crow version – a luscious purple and black.  You can get a good view of the matching skins/makeup below.  This is the lightest (Ghost) tone and the next darker (Sugar) tone.  Each makeup and each tone is on sale for only L$50.  All the Belle Époque outfits are on sale for only L$50 each, too.

 

These pics were taken in one of Frick’s skyboxes.  You can find them on the very top floor of the shop and are on sale for only L$37.  I added the winter linden tree and removed the cuddle rug for these pics.

You would think that I would have had enough of Frick by now, right?  No Frickin’ way!  (Sorry, couldn’t resist. lol)  There’s one more outfit that made me swoon – the Cordial dresses.  They come in several colors, some very bright, but I’ll only show you my two faves.

This one is the Dreamy Cordial and features a sexy, barely there corset with flower and lace details.  It is impeccably textured.  It comes with just the one skirt, but the price is still a steal on sale at only L$50.  Last picture coming up!  The Poison Cordial is the gothiest one in a very burlesque black and red.

Well, I hope you enjoyed these pics as much as I enjoyed taking them.  I promise to get back to blogging other designers very soon.  But don’t be surprised if you see me around the grid still wearing these from Frick.  There’s just something really special about them.  Don’t forget that the sale ends mid-March – don’t miss out!

The Return of Hya’s Muse… or… New Suits at Silent Sparrow!

It’s been awhile (about six months) since twittery birds and other lovers of silent sparrow attire have had reason to celebrate.  But that time has come because Hyasinth Tiramisu has found her Muse and released a new suit – suitable for men and women.  It’s the Corbie suit and features crows (or ravens) amid Hya’s signature swirlies.  Now, I’m not sure where “corbie” comes from, but I do know that the French word for crow is corbeau, so the name is fitting.  It’s available in all the traditional silent sparrow colors with five colors being limited editions – penny, ghost, sea, brass, and violet.  Only 50 of these will be sold – 25 on the Marketplace and 25 at the mainstore inworld.  That way everyone has a chance to get these lovelies.  I had a difficult time choosing between the blood and ash (not limited editions) and the sea and ghost, but eventually chose the lovely sea.  No one does teal like Hya.

Corbie comes with both men’s and women’s parts in one folder, and if you buy it on the Marketplace, it’s easily giftable, too.  All colors, even the limited editions are the same price – L$500.  Definitely not bad for something from an artist of Hya’s caliber.  Shown above are some of the wear options – jacket with prim belted tails, sweater with prim collar, gorgeous cuffs, gloves, pants with prim cuffs (wonderfully messy), and a lovely jeweled brooch.  The limited editions come in a pretty little bird container in the matching color.

I’ve added those fantastic ankle boots I won in Patchwork Heart’s lucky chair, and some of the jewelry I picked up at Haus of Darcy (HoD) recently – the Mercenary necklaces and dimpled piercings (the latter is a hunt gift, I’m 99% sure).  I’ve also added a very nicely done lip piercing that’s meant for the fellas from *JD* Designs.  Don’t hold me to it, but I think it was a subscribo gift last week.  I’m also wearing the newest hair from Magika – lookee!  The pins are color changeable!

Damn!  Don’t you hate when you look at a picture and realize what would have made it even better?  I’m doing that now – a nice monocle or some stylish round glasses would have been perfect!  Oh well…..

The Delectable Doll’s Mobvend Bargains and Whatevr’s Free Avatar for Noobs

Such a utilitarian post title.  But I’ve come to realize that that’s just me – the utilitarian goth/alt blogger. lol  I take nice pictures that show the designers’ clothes and make no claims to have any artistic talent whatsoever. 😀  Anywhooo…  Tonight’s post is going to be another long one coz I have lots to show you.  First up, how about a lovely Valentine-themed dress available only in the mobvendor at The Delectable Doll?  Simple Love comes in several colors, and Sherri has been putting them one by one into the mobvendor where the price goes down to only L$25.  As of last night, the pink color was in there.  But I’m not going to show you that one.  I have the black, red, and the blue to show you.  It really doesn’t matter though coz they’re all so pretty.

Isn’t it a cute dolly dress?  I think so!  It has a gothic heart pattern on the dress and stockings.  I’m wearing some cute goth jewelry from Lolapop! – the new Willow necklace and the older God Save the Queen bracelet and earrings (which you really can’t see).  The shoes are some newer ones from Dilly Dolls.  Ori makes such great dolly shoes.  The hair is yesterday’s release from Magika – Nayla.   I love how it’s gathered messily in the back in a loose ponytail.   Here are the red and the blue Simple Love.

 

Remember, if you want these, you’ll need to drop by The Delectable Doll to see which color is currently in the mobvendor.  Then call everyone you know and watch the price drop.  Oh!  This skin!  It’s a free one from Apple May Designs and is such a great Valentine’s (or really anytime) dolly skin.  The heavy blush, the red eyeshadow, and the heart-shaped red lipstick are wonderful.  You get several tones – this is the “gothly” one! – and best of all, it’s free!

Do you want something really nice for free?  Well, unless you’re 60 days old or less, you won’t be able to get this one, unfortunately.  Belladonna at Whatevr has made this really nice full avatar – hair, skin, shape, shoes, and outfit – for free.  So, if you know a noob who needs a makeover, or hell, if your new alt needs a makeover, here ya go!

 

So, it really isn’t very “gothy,” but it’s just gorgeous anyway!  The shape you see on the far right is the shape that comes in the kit, which is called “Virgin,” by the way – great name!  I’m wearing my own shape in the other photos coz I like my own shape. 😛  As I said, everything you see here comes in the kit.  Isn’t that skin beautiful??  Belladonna is getting so good at doing everything!  I had to shoot a sexy pose in this skin!

Ok, one last thing.  If you love this outfit and are pissed at me coz you can’t get it for your “old” avatar, well, Bella hasn’t forgotten us SL seniors.  She released Flesh and Blood – the same outfit in different colors.  Check it out.

You get the high-waisted pants and three tops in flesh (gold), blood (red), and black.  You can wear the pants without the top part if you don’t want them to be high-waisted, I guess.  In case you’re modest and don’t like to show the girls this much, Bella has also included a lace undershirt with a prim collar.

I’m wearing the shoes and skin that were in the noob kit.  The hair is an upcoming release from Emo-tions that will be available tomorrow as a group gift.  You’re not a member of Emo-tions group?  Are you nuts?  Mirja gives out a free hair about every other week!  This one is darkbrown and curly, with a headband that’s color-changeable.  More curly hair!  \o/  Ok!  I gotta go inworld to hit those FLF specials!  See ya!

+++Blue Blood+++ New Release – Whitegoth Strappy

I’m so behind in blogging Blue Blood’s releases.  Since the last time I blogged Blue Blood, Ghani released a dress called Tuesday, the dark goth colors of Strappy, and just yesterday, the whitegoth colors of Strappy.  I had already started photographing the darkgoth Strappy when the whitegoth colors were released, so today I’ll show you a sampling of both styles of Strappy.

Strappy has got to be the sexiest outfit Ghani has ever released.  But the outfit is still very tasteful – all your naughty bits are covered by straps, hence the name.  Ok.  I’ll shut up and show you some pictures (Lord knows I have tons to show you).

This is the dark goth Strappy Black.  It comes with three top options, two bottom options, two types of waist ruffles, spiky armwarmers, a spiky shoulder piece, and ripped and shredded stockings.  Above, you can see all three options – on the left is the full top with the side only waist ruffles; in the middle is the straps only option, and on the right is the medium coverage top option (no shoulder coverage) and the larger waist ruffles.  Here are a few more pics of the options.

Strappy comes in the dark goth colors black, red, teal, pink, and purple.  Here’s one more color of the dark colors – red.

Dramatic, no?  As you can see, the fuller coverage waist ruffles cover your front and right side, but are open in the back and left.  It’s really a half skirt.  The smaller waist ruffles cover only the right side.  The tattoos I’m wearing here are the Royal Tea Party Hunt gift from Spearsong.  This outfit is pretty bad-ass and seemed to call for tattoos.  The skin is a L$60 special from Heartsick – a Valentine’s makeup for the upcoming Spirit skins.  The hair I’ve blogged before (Emo-tions’ Zoe – my fave new punky do).  Here are some more pics of the red.

I have to say, Strappy is really fun to wear, and I’m really surprised that Ghani has gotten so sexy and revealing with her creations.  😀

The textures are gorgeously drawn, of course.  And everything has been made with such attention to detail – Ghani really is a perfectionist and it always shows in her work.  She just keeps getting better and better, if that’s possible!  Strappy comes in the whitegoth colors black & white, blue, cream, pink, and white.  I want to show you the whitegoth black and white, as well as the whitegoth white, so I’ll just post those and stop chattering on and on.  Oh, but if you’re wondering about this hair, this is a preview of an upcoming release from Emo-tions called Penny II.  It will be available for purchase on Saturday.

Hunt at Wretched Hollow and Spooktacular Goodies at Atomic

Here’s a quick post to show you some of the items you can find at Wretched Hollow, home of Wretched Dollies, during the annual Halloween hunt which runs through October 31st.  The hunt items are not free, most are L$1 and feature traditional Halloween goodies like batwings, seasonal dolly keys, and other accessories.  The real find, though, is the limited edition Evil Queen gown, hidden in little skulls around the sim, which you can purchase for L$200.  Star Fairymeadow has also placed some of her favorite items on sale for 50% off inside the store.  Just look on the wall to your right when you walk in.  I’ve blogged many of them before, so I won’t show you those again, but they include the Batty Dress, Batty dolly shoes, and colorful pumpkin dolly dress.  Anyway, here’s a look at the Evil Queen dress…

The Evil Queen gown comes with the flowing moon and stars veil, and two styles of horns.  There is also a more upright pair, the photo of which has somehow become lost in my computer.    The skin is a brand new release from Amacci.  The Irina skin comes in several tones, including this goth one.  Yay!  Beautiful goth skins!  All the makeups are very muted and pretty.  If you want bloody and nasty, you’ll have to enhance them with tattoo layer makeups, which are plentiful these days in SL.  The gorgeous necklace is by Miel and was offered for Fifty Linden Fridays this week.  It might still be up; idk.  The hair, which I’ve blogged before, is from LoQ Hairs is a TDR Blue exclusive.  I believe it’s still available because Blue hasn’t changed the goodies yet.  The hair is very well made – I *love* the shine!  Give me shiny hair, please!  If you can see my earrings under the hair, they’re from Alienbear – the Bloody Ahava earrings.  The earrings and matching necklace are in tiny pumpkins at the store, set for sale for cheap.  The earrings were L$10 and the necklace was L$50;  the quality and workmanship in the pieces are top-notch.  Oh, one last thing before I move on to more pictures – if you buy the Evil Queen gown, remember to *take* the skull because it’s now yours!

Yep, I was having fun with these pictures. 😛  I’m wearing mix-and-match items that are available for free/L$1 at either Wretched Hollow or at Atomic Isle for the Halloween Spooktacular sale there.  So, let’s see…. the Zombie pants are from Wretched Hollow, along with the bat wings and the ladies’ batty hat (you get a men’s version in the same folder).  The Pumpkin Tee is the freebie from ATOMIC at the Spooktacular, and the funny ankle boots are free from O! Bleak.  The zombie pants also come in bloody and clean versions with three cuff versions, normal clean, normal bloody, and tattered.   The skin by Helyanwe Vindaloo of ploom is available for purchase at the Halloween Spooktacular.  Not too surprisingly, Helyanwe makes very nice skins.  This is one is all stitched and cracked, yet somehow still pretty.  The hair is not a freebie; it was the Fifty Linden Friday item from lamb – the Lovage style (Snickers color).  I can almost guarantee that it’s still up because it wasn’t placed out until very late.  The necklace also isn’t free, but is available at a nice price at *JD* Designs.  Ok, a few more goodies ….

Here are two more pairs of pants that you can find in the pumpkin hunt at Wretched Hollow – the Skully pants and the Moon and Stars pants.  The dolly key is also  from Wretched Hollow (L$1 in a pumpkin), while the cute cute cute (omg *cute*!) chained Aranel’s Wings in pumpkin are free from Boom, and the nude bodysuit is free from Whippet & Buck at the Halloween Spooktacular.    Thanks for reading!

Get Twisted with Dilly Dolls and PinkMare’s House

So, how are you guys doing with the Twisted Hunt?  I confess I haven’t even tried to grab very many of the gifties.  That hunt is soooo hard.  I thing I’m more of an instant gratification kind of girl. lol  But I have a couple of Twisted Hunt goodies to show you.  The first is from Dilly Dolls, and it’s a complete tiny avatar.  Yep, that’s me in there. lol  This one – the clean one – is the Twisted Hunt prize.  Look – she’s saying “Momma, is that you?”  Hee hee.

There’s another VooDoo Doll avatar – a bloody one – at Dilly Dolls for you to find in a separate side hunt.  This one’s a little worse for wear, but she’s wearing her heart on her chest for you.  All these pic’s were taken at Dilly Dolls, by the way.  I looked in vain for the giant version of this little VooDoo doll, but alas, this little doll seems to be an orphan. 😉

As I said earlier, I also want to show you the Twisted Hunt prize from PinkMare’s House.  When you go there, you *must* check out the art gallery on the second and third floors.  There’s some great pieces there.  PinkMare is famous for her rag dolls, and the hunt gift comes with two of them, but also this very nice dress.

I love the veil and crown – they fit over just about any hairdo.  The caged skirt is actually on the system skirt layer, hence its crookedness in the right hand pic.  At least that’s fewer prims and therefore less lag, right?  As I said, the outfit also comes with two ragdolls.  Oh, the jewelry I’m sporting is a new release from *JD* Designs.  The gems are color-change, too.  I like the way the necklace looks both heavy and delicate at the same time, like it’s made of very thin iron.  I think it goes perfectly with this outfit. 🙂

DoC Eldritch of DE Designs has returned to his roots with his latest release – Arise.  It’s sexy fantasy wear – the type of clothes that first drew me to DE Designs three years ago.  Oh, how I drooled as I took note of which items I could buy right away and which would have to wait.  Check out Arise for yourself.

DoC is a master at drawing leather and metal closures.  I particularly love that little flap of studded leather at the waistband of the pants.  Can’t you just feel how soft and supple that leather is?  Gorgeous work, as always, DoC!

I’m wearing *JD* Designs new jewelry set once again – the ones with the cute little black dice cubes, as well as the sexy stilettos I picked up at SLink for the Platinum Hunt (which, sadly, is over).  The hair is (gasp!) not from ploom this time, but from Truth.  But, I have new ploom hair to show you next time!  Yay!!
