Montagne Noir – La Mariee Vampyr

I found this lovely vampire bride gown at Montagne Noir in Caledon Village and decided to blog it for your viewing pleasure.  Montagne Noir is a long-running SL boutique that specializes in period clothing.  In case you didn’t know, Caledon is one of the oldest sims in SL and has sections for different role playing like Victorian, steam punk, etc.  If you’re looking for some period clothing for role playing, Montagne Noir is your place.

Astolat Dufaux has created a gothic wedding gown in black brocade and satin, accented with a black rose crown veil, a black rose bouquet (with holding pose), and a dark, eerie mist which is emitted by the matching shoes.  If you don’t want the mist, no problem.  The set comes with two pairs of shoes, one with the mist function, and one without.   Also included are a pair of petite vampire fangs, and a front-piece for the veil to cover your face, if you so desire (I didn’t).  I went on location for a few pics, but didn’t want to have sunlight (coz I’m a vampire and not the sparkly kind!), so the pics came out a bit dark.  I’ll put them on Flickr in case anyone’s interested, but here’s one anyway.

Here, you can see the side and a portion of the back of the gown with its glorious bustle and layers upon layers of brocade and satin.  My hair, hiding under the veil, is from elikatira called Away in black.  My skin is once again from Laq, the Mima pale skin, this time with a dramatic bloody mouth.  I’ve fed and now I’ll wed!  (:P)  My necklace is Love in a Void from Violet Voltaire, which is available on the Marketplace.  Everything else is part of the Montagne Noir outfit.

Stars Fashion – Mesh Synchestra Dress

Stars Fashion has a lovely new mesh gown for us goths!  It comes in a black with white or black with red combo, which is my fave.   The gown comes in several sizes, of course, so you can find the one that fits you best.  With its spider web pattern across the bodice of the dress, it’s perfect for Halloween, but of course for goths, it’s everyday wear. 🙂

The dresses are available at a special promotional price for both dresses on the marketplace here.  I’m not really wearing anything else new since my last post, which was only a few days ago.  (I know…. who wouldathunk it?  I’m posting more than once in a month!)  My necklace, Love in a Void, is an older item (again, I’ve been going through my inventory looking for “oldies but goodies”) from the wonderful Violet Voltaire, who is now only available on the marketplace.  My skin is once again Laq‘s Mima, just in another makeup – this one with vibrant, sexy, red lips.  My boots are not new either; they’re the scrumptious Selene boots from Lassitude & Ennui.  My claws are from Virtual Insanity, which has been releasing updates of her previous nails/claws in mesh.  I blogged them last time, too.  You may notice my cross tattoos.  They were an anniversary gift given out recently by Haus of Darcy.  I’m not sure if it’s still available.  Finally my hair is once again from analog dog – my new fave called Sage.  Love this hair!!

New Freebies at +++Blue Blood+++

There’s a new group gift out at Blue Blood.  There’s no rush to go grab it though; it’s the gift for joining the VIP group that will stay out until Ghani makes another one.  But don’t look for it in group notices.  Just wear your group tag and go get it on the desk by the mailbox.  Here’s the group gift.

This is Eilen in black and white.  It’s a simple dolly dress, but has all the same impeccable textures as every other Blue Blood outfit.  Really, you can wear this dress with any look you want to accomplish as it’s not overly goth or dolly.  Now, if you don’t have L$50 to join the Blue Blood group, you can still get seven other colors of Eilen for absolutely free.  All you’ll need is a little patience and luck.  That’s right, the other colors of Eilen are now the lucky board prizes.  Here they are.

 

 

I’m wearing my new favorite skins again – Mynerva’s group gifts.  The shoes with color change socks (only the green really matched Blue Blood’s palette though) is by Dilly Dolls.  These are a reworking of the Stella Dollies – adding the cute ankle socks.  The shoes are color change, too.   I’ve worn the non-socks version on the blog many times coz they are just the perfect little dolly shoe.  The hair is by ploom, an older style that I’ve never really had the opportunity to wear.  It reminds me of Pocahontas a little. 😀

Likka*House

A couple of posts ago, in my first segment on the Best of the Twisted Hunt, I mentioned that Likka*House’s gift was the most creative hunt gift.  You can see the Dusk Shadow dress in that post here.  As I was hunting for the Cube from Hell (a/k/a the Twisted Hunt box) at Likka*House, I felt compelled to do a little shopping.  No. 1, the store isn’t all that large; no. 2, Likka had a brand new release that I had to have; and no. 3, I found some low priced older items that I just couldn’t pass up.  So, here are some of the other things I found at Likka*House for your viewing pleasure. 🙂

This is the newest release from Likka – the Victoria Dress.  It comes in this ruby red and black, and also in an all black version (not shown).  Each dress comes with two different skirts, one with a pattern that matches the bodice, and one with black stripes.  Both are gorgeous!  Please click to make the picture larger.  You really need to see the beauty of Likka’s artwork here.  I especially love the shine on those bows on the skirts!  I’m wearing a new release hairdo from Truth called Priscilla.  I really like this little messy updo.

I also found a few bargain-priced items at Likka*House.  The first is this cute checkered Patsy Dress.

Patsy comes in several colors, but you know how much I love black and white, so I had to get this one.  This dress is only L$50 and comes with both the stockings (notice the checkered pattern on the stocking tops?) and the mismatched leggings.  The outfit also includes the mini top hat and the choker.  So cute!  I have to digress to say that I am in love with Mynerva’s skins right now.  The skin in the first picture above is called Cynthia Sister and the makeup is called Hope’n Pray. That’s the one I had to go and buy after getting the group gift skins, which include the one worn in the picture directly above.  I just can’t stop wearing these!  I love the shine on the little black streaks – they look like glossy paint!

I have one more Likka*House dress to show you, and this one is only L$10!

Well, I lied a little.  😀  This Chris Dress, along with many, many other colors and patterns is a L$10 Gacha item.  To be honest if you’ve been a goth/dolly as long as I have, you may already have some of the Chris dresses.  I confess I had three or four of them already in my inventory.  (And yes, I definitely paid more than L$10 for them originally.)  This just goes to show that Likka*House has been around for a long time.  The Chris dresses are cute and well-made, but when you compare them to the Victoria Dress, you can really see how far Likka’s come in her skills.  I love that!  The Chris Dress comes with the little choker and the wrist cuffs, too.  If you’re looking for some bargain-priced dolly clothes, get over to Likka*House and try your luck on the Gacha.

Dilly Dolls’ New Skins Part 2; Broken Heart Dress from Squeek

In yesterday’s post on katat0nik’s freebies, I wore Dilly Dolls’ new Lillie skins.  I wanted to show you the rest of the makeups, so here they are.  Lillie comes in 6 tones; these are the lightest – Marshmallow.

The names of these makeups are (l to r, top to bottom) Kassi, Salone, Sandra, Tandy, Violetta, and Willie.  Click to see them larger so you can appreciate the differences among the makeups.

Well, I can’t just show you one thing, can I?  Squeek had this cute Broken Heart dress in pink on sale for Valentine’s Day.  I’m not sure if it’s still on sale, but it’s worth the lindens even at the regular price.

The dress features an unusual sculpted and prim skirt and choker.  That’s right – the choker and skirt are both sculpted and prim.  Even better, you get three skirt options with this dress.  Here are the other two.

And that’s yet another Lillie makeup that I’m wearing here – the most dolly of all the makeups, I think  – Maleni.  The shoes are from G Field and were part of their Valentine’s Hunt of both free and low-cost items.  I had intended to blog all of the cute stuff from that hunt, but time flies. 🙂

Katat0nik freebies and New Skins from Dilly Dolls

When I first started blogging, I posted about katat0nik often.  Then I started blogging more and more stores, and Ms. Pigeon took a bit of a break from SL and designing.  Now, even though katat0nik is back with new things (most notably her Fifty Linden Friday items), I still hadn’t blogged her uber-cute creations.  Well, I’m about to remedy that.  I’ve been a member of the group for years, and Ms. Pigeon just spoiled us for Valentine’s Day.  Now, if you’re not a member, you need to know that katat0nik’s group is not like other groups.  It’s not open enrollment so that you can join and leave at will.  To be invited to join, you must spend L$250 or more at the store within 24 hours.  If you don’t receive an invitation within so many days, you can send Ms. Pigeon a notecard and she’ll send you an invitation.  Phew! huh?  So, it’s definitely not a group you’ll want to join and drop and join and drop. lol  But if you’re a member, here are the lovely items you can get right now.

This is Valentina in pink and white.  It’s just the cutest damned thing, isn’t it?  Katat0nik seriously makes the best pinks.  Of course, it’s competely hand-drawn in Ms. Pigeon’s signature style.  The lace on the skirt edges is particularly pretty, too.  It comes with two skirts – this one and a shorter, more flirty one.  For some reason, I didn’t put on the shorter ones for the pictures tonight.  (moi <= doofus)  Do you like the stockings?   Group members also get two packs (one black and one pink) of 13 stockings with hearts and stripes (that’s 26 pairs of stockings!).  Now, what if you’re not into pink? ” Where’s my anti-Valentines dress?” you ask.  Well there’s something for you, too – the Valentina dress in black and white.

Love this, too!  With all the outfits in this post, I dusted off some Violet Voltaire jewelry to wear.  Man, I sure wish she’d make more stuff.  How about the skins I’m wearing?  I was so excited to get these new skins from Dilly Dolls last night as I was preparing this post.  It was like…. serendipity!  These are the new Lillie skins that Oriana has been working on for several months.  We got a glimpse of them for Christmas and just recently for Valentine’s Day.  Now all 12 makeups in 6 tones are available, with several in the lucky boards, too.  I’m wearing the lightest tone called Marshmallow (see below for other details).  That Laida makeup worn with the pink dress above is my favorite!

So, now you’re probably saying, “Well, Ms. Desiree, that’s all fine and good, but I’m not a member of katat0nik’s group.  Are there any freebies for me?”  Yes, there are!  And all you have to do is stalk the lucky board at katat0nik’s satellite store on Juicy – but hurry coz these have been around for a few weeks at least.  Look how cute these are….

This is the Candy Stripe dress in dark pink and black, worn with the bunny sleeve tattoos that were part of katat0nik’s gift for the Magic of Oz Year of the Bunny hunt.  I’m wearing more of those group gift stockings here, too.  The Candy Stripe dress also comes in a lighter pink and black – also randomly available in the lucky board.

Those stockings are sooo cute!  And I’m lovin’ Dilly Dolls’ new skins – they are just perfect for the dolly look.  Well, this post is getting a bit long, so I’ll break off now and show you more makeups from the Lillie skins tomorrow (along with more gothy/dolly dresses).

Des Goes to the Jewelry Fair, Part Three

I think this will be my last Jewelry Fair post.  Just don’t forget that it ends on Sunday, so get on over there soon!  Today’s post features two of my favorite jewelers – one quite new to the scene and the other a long-time designer.  I’m pairing the jewelry once again with a sexy dollarbie outfit from Phoenix Rising.

Well, I am just a sucker for black and white jewelry, especially if there is a skully motif going on.  This set from Ripe is sure to be one of my new “go to” jewelry pieces.  It comes in several other colors; the red is the Oxfam charity item.  But I had to have the white with black.  It comes with the necklace, bracelet, and earrings – with and without an attached eyepatch.  The eyepatch also comes separately as well, without the string of pearls attaching it to the earring.  As I said earlier, the sexy, sexy outfit is in one of the dollarbie “mix” boxes at Phoenix Rising’s closing sale.  That ends soon, too – the 31st, I believe.

I’m also sporting a new pin from Ripe – it’s the Elegant Raven Skull Pin, which also comes in other colors besides this black feathered version.  Both bracelets I’m wearing are from Violet Voltaire – the White Lace & Strange Overcast bracelet on the right and the Timekiller Bracelet on the left.  I wore the Timekiller necklace in my last post.  Ok.  That’s it for me (for now).  Go shop!

+++Blue Blood+++- Beautiful Batty Dress

I just had to blog twice today even though I am busy as hell in RL right now.  Ghani released this lovely little seasonal frock for Woeful Wednesday, which means that the price is only L$50 for a limited time.  Ghani tells me that she will be leaving the dress up at this price until approximately midday Thursday.  After that, the price will still be a steal – only L$100.

Ghani has a penchant for making lace, and the fringed edges on this dress are just perfect.  They continue the motif of the body of the skirt.  I’m wearing various bits of jewelry that I picked up at the Jewelry Fair.  The necklace and bracelet are by Violet Voltaire – the Timekiller set.  I’m not sure if the time pieces actually work, but they are beautiful pieces nonetheless.  The right bracelet is also from Violet Voltaire – the White Lace & Strange (overcast) bracelet.  The earrings are from Dark Mouse – Deco Squared Silver.  I still haven’t taken off the intricate Westphalia lip piercing from U&R Dogs – stunning prim work!  So, I’ve got to get some shut eye, but you should get over Blue Blood soon if you want this dress at the lowest price.

Halloween Goodies from The Dollhouse

LVS (located in Bug Tussle) has an Octoberpalooza going on.  There are tons of goodies to be found, and they’re not really hidden either.  The items are not free, but practically free.  I picked up the cutest dresses from LVS’ The Dollhouse for only L$25 each – and one of them comes with a cute dolly skin!

What’s not to love?  It has a cute flouncy lace underskirt, skully pattern all over the bodice, and you get a dolly skin!  I fell in love with this hair at Fashionably Dead while I was doing the Season’s Hunt.  It’s called Lopsided Lilly because the pigtails are not the same length.  Cute!   The hair colors there are very imaginatively named, too.  This black one is called “Nothingness.”

Here’s the other cute Halloween dress that is available for only L$25 at The Dollhouse during Octoberpalooza.

I love this one, too!  Oh my goodness!  Halloween is my favorite season!  You get to wear all kinds of scary or scary-cute gothy outfits.  It’s funny, though.  Every time I see a notice for “Halloween costumes,” I think to myself  “I wear this stuff all year ’round!” LOL

The skin I’m wearing is from &bean and is free for the Season’s Hunt.  Its name is hilarious – “Old Bones IBLEWC3PO IN THE FALL.”  I rofl’d, I must admit.  How would one go about blowing C3PO?  Does he even have an *ahem*?  😛 I’ve enhanced the skin with a tattoo layer eye makeup from Kyoot.  The Autumn Feline Pack was on sale this weekend.  The hair is new from Magika.  Man, she has really redone her hairs!  All new Magika hair now comes with a normal and a mirrored version (so you can change the part to the other side), HUD controlled color changes, and a cuter than cute hair-in-the-mouth option (also adjustable via HUD).  Oh, one last thing!  The cute orange boots are a bargain at R2 right now.  They’re the Pumehana Elua Orange boots and are available on a little cart to the left of the entrance foyer, along with a few other items.  It’s hard to see in my pics, but the boots have black lace on the tops.  Perfect Halloween boots!

Erika by G Field and New Skins from Heartsick

G Field released a lovely little dress recently – the kind of dress that qualifies as a “frock.”  It’s sweet and pretty and very, very feminine.  It’s the Erika dress.  Take a looky look – please click and click and click to make them ginormous (if you wish). 🙂

Erika  comes in several colors, including the rose and black that I’m wearing.  You get two skirt options – a short one and a longer one.  You can see the longer skirt in the black version above.  The texturing is perfectly executed – all in all – a beautiful little dress. 🙂

I’m totally in love with Heartsick’s new skins, too!   Amesha makes such fantastic skins and the body shading on her new Enchant skins is even sexier, if that’s possible.  In case your avatar isn’t as boobalicious as most, Amesha includes several cleavage options for each makeup, plus a choice of freckles or beautymarks.  I’m wearing the lightest tone – Illusion.  I plan on dedicating a post to these skins tomorrow.  In the meantime…
