Indigo Oddities

I found a new shop this weekend, thanks to the Dolly Dash group.  Indigo Oddities sells very cute dolly clothes at very reasonable prices.  I went for the Midnight Mania and stopped to shop a bit.  I was quite intrigued by several outfits I saw and bought three.  The outfits come in all the usual dolly/goth colors, but I was in a pink mood, so I decided to only buy pink. 😀

As you can see, the textures are photosourced, but I still think the outfits are quite cute.  I like how Ms. Draesia finished off the sleeves with the little contrasting color rolled edges.  The little plushie you see is how all the outfits come boxed.  What’s even cuter is that the plushie’s face changes into several expressions.  It comes with a holding pose, too.  I thought I looked very little girlish in this pink frock.  Maybe I should have moved my boob sliders down a bit, huh? lol  I felt like this outfit needed a little candy nom nom, so I ran over to Sanu and won this one in the gacha machine.  Pink on the first try, too!  Here are some full shots of this cute dress, Emily.

I also love the long trailing ribbons and the white lace underskirt.  All in all, I’m quite pleased with my purchase and will definitely put Indigo Oddities on my watch list.  Continuing in the pink theme, I picked up the next outfit, Ophelia.

Lookie, I’m a marionete dolly whose strings have been cut!  I thought this was too cute to pass up.  I also like the leaf pattern on the skirt.  It makes an unusual, but very visually pleasing texture.  Because I’m assuming that these textures are photosourced, I cammed in on the stockings to look for obvious seams.  I am happy to report that Ms. Draesia has done a great job here.  Patterned stockings can foil even the best of SL seamstresses, but these look just fine.  I had to pull out my favorite skin, that wonderful Mynerva group gift, here.  The hair is from Tiny Bird, and I’ve already blogged it once before, but it just works so well with this dolly style.

“I’m free!  I’m free!” Desiree silently crows as she twirls gracefully under her own volition.  😀  At the waist, the harness holding the strings is separate from the skirt.  You know because of that leafy pattern, I can also picture this dress as a fairy outfit.  Take off the strings, add some pink wings, and voila!  Ok, one more pink outfit for you.

This one is called Tempest and features a caged skirt with sculpted skully accents and pink bows.  The sheer black overskirt with scalloped edges and the long, pink ribbons hide the longer back of the dress, which you have to see.

Purty, no?   It looks like a lace texture that’s been shaded pink and layered over a black background.  In any case, it works.  I had to wear my favorite dolly hair from ploom – Kewpie.  Seriously, is this not *the* best dolly hair, ever?

New Release from +++Blue Blood+++ – Whitegoth Elaine

Warning!  This is a very photo intensive post.  I have every color of Blue Blood’s new whitegoth version of Elaine, and I took lots of pictures.  I couldn’t help it!  The outfit is so darned versatile that I kept finding more ways to wear it!  Even when I thought I had found all the ways I could wear it, I found more.  So, let’s get busy here.  First up is the whitegoth white, which may just be my favorite.  They’re all so pretty, it’s hard to choose.

See that impossibly cinched waist?  Yep, that’s a sculpted corset with an alpha layer to hide your avatar’s torso and hips.  The sculpted corset comes three ways in the folder – alone, with skirt a, and with skirt b.  One skirt is just a little longer than the other.  You can see the difference above.  But that’s not all!  No, you also get the top portion of the dress without the sculpted corset so that you can wear it the traditional way.  You also get a very tight choker with an alpha prim inside to hide your neck.  It looks best when worn with the sculpted corset.

Here you can see the dress worn the traditional way with each skirts (you get two separate skirts without the sculpted corset attachment in the folder).  Elaine is also a hot little lingerie outfit.  It comes with just the bra and undies on all layers, too.  I thought I had found all the ways to wear this dress after I took these pictures.  But I was wrong.  When I put on the whitegoth pink, I found more options.

No, these aren’t the “more options” I was talking about. lol    This is just the traditional wear options, but it’s sooo pretty!  Ooooo!  The necklace is new – from the amazing Ms. Darcy at Haus of Darcy (a/k/a H.o.D.).  Nothing’s Necklace comes with two wear options – hanging askew as shown above, and attached to your mouth (as shown further below).  Back to Elaine!  Here are the other wear options.

Lookee there  – you can wear a third top option with high-waisted stockings and little garter thingies attached to the bra.  (Wow, I really suck at describing clothing, don’t I?)  I love those stockings; they’re so unusual!  I love how they’re slightly transparent over your butt – they kind of look like some sexy spankx. 😛  Click to make the pics bigger – you know you want to see them better!  Oh, my hair!  I’m wearing one of the new styles Elikatira released yesterday – Play.  It comes with two styles in the folder:  one with sideswept bangs and the one I’m wearing with the cute little bobby-pins.  The pins and ponytail holders are color-change via click, too.

As I was putting on the Elaine dresses to take pictures, I confess I decided that I didn’t need to show you all the options in every color, so I just wore the “traditional” look without the sculpted corsets for those.  The sculpted corset needs some tweaking, unless you are the same size as Ms. Uriza.  She must be taller and thinner than me coz I had to put on my “tall thin Des” shape to make the corsets look their best on me.

There’s that other version of Nothing’s Necklace from H.o.D. – dangling from my mouth.  Ms. Darcy makes really nice goth jewelry and piercings.  H.o.D. is sometimes in the weekend sales events and even some hunts, too, so go check out the store if you haven’t been there in awhile.  The boots are my “go to” boots when I’m posting lots of colors of an outfit – G Field’s Lace-up Short Boots – they’re color-change and are totally awesome.  Worth every single penny I paid for them (which was not a lot, either!) There are two more colors of the whitegoth Elaine – blue and lilac.  Here they are.

Yep, that’s all the colors; lilac is the last one I have to show you.  I totally missed blogging the dark goth colors before Ghani released the white ones.  I’ll try to get to them soon because they are such a perfect example of a traditional gothic lolita dress, impeccably and expertly hand-drawn by one of the best designers in SL.  (And I am so serious here, people!  Zoom in on your Blue Blood skirts; inspect the seams.  Ghani is a perfectionist and her work proves it.  Even if you don’t care whether your clothes have seams, you can still appreciate the artistry it takes to make them as perfect as Ghani does.)

Sigh.  Well, I didn’t lie.  I did say that there was no telling when Ghani would change the riotvendor.  I just didn’t realize she’d change it within an hour of my post. LOL.  So, here is the *brand new* Riotvend outfit.  Now, I’m not saying that the outfit is “brand new” – just that it’s the very latest outfit in the Riotvend.  I think it’s safe to say that this one will be there for a few hours at least. 🙂  It’s the Helena dress in red and yes, it is gorgeous.  I’m starting to run out of adjectives here!  Take a look coz I won’t overstay my welcome this time.

As you can see, Helena has some beautiful sculpted parts, plus some semi-sheer flexi parts.  Everything comes on multiple layers, so you can wear the dress without the black jacket for a different look.  So, you know the drill, gather your friends and pester your groups in chat to come help mob the vendor.  You know you need this one!

+++Blue Blood+++ New Gacha – Rachel

As I posted yesterday on the Blue Blood blog, Ghani has released the rest of the colors of the Rachel dress, the black and white version of which is in the Click Wars game.  Best of all, she’s put them in the Gacha machine and set it to only L$15 per try, so that’s quite a deal for a pretty little gothic lolita dress.

Rachel comes in purple (show above), red, pink, and teal (shown below, left to right).  The texture of Ghani’s hand-drawn and painted fabric is gorgeous and must be experienced inworld to appreciate.  I always zoom in on the fabric of my clothes.  I am always delighted when the texture has such depth that it can transfix me.  The best part is that this gorgeous creation can be yours for only L$15!

The scrumptious boots are a new release, a Le Look exclusive, from Indyra Originals – stiletto ankle boots full of buckled up hotness.  The hair is a gift from I Love Olive for the opening of her satellite store at Alatiel and features color change bobby pins.

+++Blue Blood+++ New Release – Simone

Yesterday, Ghani released Simone, a new gothic lolita dress.  As always, the outfit features numerous wear options, custom sculpts, and hand-drawn textures.  You can see pictures of  the Whitegoth Pink, Darkgoth Teal, and the two fatpacks here.  Today, I’m going to show you the Darkgoth Red and the Whitegoth Blue.

In the above composite, I’m wearing the “complete” option with all three tops – the shirt, corset, and jacket, plus the upper and lower sleeves, and the lolita skirt.  But Simone also comes with a shorter skirt and looks just as cute worn without all three tops, hence the options. 🙂  It also comes with a ruffled collar piece, which seems to have not ended up in my pics.  Man, these prescription drugs are making my brain foggy.  

I’m sure you recognize the hair since everyone on the feeds is sporting it today.  It’s the new Tilly hair from Truth, of course.  Now, back to Simone.  As always, the whitegoth versions of Ghani’s outfits give a completely different look.  For me, the whitegoths are more elegant and innocent (and I *love* them!)  Here’s the whitegoth blue.

Ah, there’s that ruffled collar!  The darkgoth colors come with a black ruffle, of course.  Ok, one more pic – let’s see some other wear options.

Check out that cleavage showing in the keyhole bodice, hein?  It’s sexy, yet strangely innocent in the whitegoth colors.  Hee hee.

Violent Seduction Makes Me Squeeeee!

Ikaru Aichi of Violent Seduction is a *very* talented designer.  She makes amazing outfits chock full of gothic lolita loveliness.  Her recent release, Princess Ero made me squeal with delight more and more with each color I tried on.  But this is another case where a picture is worth a thousand words.  I’ll let Ms. Aichi’s designs speak for themselves.

Before I go on, a warning – this is a picture heavy post.  If it gets cut off on the feeds, please see the rest at my home page.  Princess Ero comes in four colors – white, black, pink, and retro (shown above).  Each color comes with at least three skirts; the white comes with one extra for a total of four skirts.  With each you get a caged skirt (my fave), a short skirt (very wide), and a long skirt (gown).  Look at the other two skirt options for the Retro color.

Another amazing thing about Princess Ero is that Ms. Aichi has made a sculpted corset for each color.  Each outfit also comes with a bra on the shirt layer and a glitch corset on the undershirt layer.  (That’s so your skin won’t show through when you move.)  The corset is really not difficult to fit if you have a basic understanding of modding prims.  (Just edit, stretch (both sides) and drag the little white squares, stopping to adjust the position until you’re happy.  Make sure you’re on a posestand!)  Ikaru says that these corsets work best on smaller avatars (not 7 foot tall quad-D breasted ones).  I did notice some hiding of my arms by the invisiprims in the corset in some poses, but I choose to enjoy the overall beauty of the outfit instead of nitpicking.  Some of the colors come with garters and stockings, while others (as you will see below) come with bloomers, shorts, and stockings.  An incredible amount of work went into these outfits and I am so in love with them.  (Did you get that so far? lol)

Omg – the black and white!  This is my favorite.. I think… I don’t know; I love them all!  Here are the skirt options.

I’ll just shut up and show you the pink next.  This one comes with a heart-shaped eyepatch!!

How cute is that??  Oh, I almost forgot!  You also get matching little Japanese style lace-edged booties with each color.  Both the skirt top and the corset bottom have the white lace edging, making them very mix-and-matchable.  So, you can easily wear the corsets with other outfits.

Ok.. last one… the white.  Ready for this??  It’s also a bridal outfit!  That’s right, it comes with a fourth skirt… a longer caged skirt (called “wedding skirt”), plus a veil.

Hello, loverlies.  I’ve been away a bit.  I really wish I had the stamina, the time, and the inclination (and the lindens) to post something every day.  Alas, alas.  I do have something a bit new to show you, though.  Ghanima over at +++Blue Blood+++ released a sweet little gothic lolita dress/pantsuit on Friday.  So, it’s not brand-spanking new, but it’s recent at least.  I didn’t get a chance to post on the +++Blue Blood+++ site coz of some RL issues for both Ghani and myself.  But I’m here now, so I’ll just shut up and show you the outfit, k?

This is Galia in Whitegoth pink – a vision of kawaii loveliness, no?  Galia comes with 2 skirt options – notice the longer, wider skirt on the right and the shorter skirt on the left.  It comes with 4 shirt options – corset and shirt – tucked and untucked, and corset only – tucked and untucked.  These options come on all layers.  The shirt also has sculpted upper and lower sleeves.  But there’s more!  There’s also a pants option.

The pants feature sculpted bell-bottom cuffs.  Now, let’s take a peek at one of the darkgoth colors – teal.

The hair worn in all pictures is the Nyanotech 09-2A Ino V2 by Curious Kitties.  I’m totally loving Curious Kitties’ hair at the moment.  With the HUD you can change it to match just about anything you wear.  The skin in the whitegoth pictures is by Pink Fuel – the weekend special Ember skin called Spring Baby, in the Milk tone.  I hope you grabbed this deal up for only L$75.  The choker worn in the darkgoth picture is the recent group gift from Curious Kitties – the Nyanotech Royal Choker.

Ok, before I go, I must show you a closeup of the pink shoes.  I’ve been sorting my inventory recently and I found this little gem.  If you’re like me, and you do lots of hunts, but never get around to opening the boxes, check your inventories.  The shoes were part of the Summer Lovin’ Hunt last year from Sweeter than Candy.  They’re called Jolly Bean Pink Daisies.  Aren’t they precious??  I added these girly little socks from Creative Kaoz Designs that I found buried in my inventory.  I have no idea when I got them or why.  They had to be a freebie or hunt gift though cause I don’t recognize the name of the store.
