Hello.  I am Desiree Debruyere, a virtual girl in the Second Life metaverse.  I’ve been a resident of SL since November, 2007, and I’m still loving it.  My favorite activities there involve acquiring stuff - hence the blog name – Acquisitive – and dressing up my virtual fashion doll.   My favorite style is anything unconventional – stuff I could never wear in RL even if I were as rich as Oprah.  I’m intensely romantic, so I am very attracted to gothic fashion.  My mission with this blog is to showcase the alternative side of SL fashion – goth, dolly, lolita, steampunk, punk, whatever – with clear, well-lit photos that showcase the beauty of the designer’s work.
